Last night's action.....quite a night. Almost ate the wall on the big end, then got caught in a torrential downpour on the way home and completely lost it on the interstate. Didn't get home until 3:30 am, after sitting nearly two hours at a rest stop while I waited for a break in the weather.

Oh, that Cobra had been on a diet. They are saying now it was a ported Eaton setup. I can't say. All I can say was the damn track let me down. I took the win off of his red, but it would have been nicer to take it on the top.

Bit of advice, don't ever lock your converter in the rain on drag radials. Don't ask how I know....

I did have it locked. My DRs are worn to ****. The rain channels are gone. It was a very interesting ride....we almost ate it.

New and exciting developments in the works for Leroy Brown. Expect Phase II to start breaking hearts very soon.

Certainly explains why the ring land broke on the other side of the piston if a third of the skirt was missing on the one side.

It's not sloppy enough if you replace ALL the pistons. Should just replace the bad one, throw it back together, use some threadlocker (you know, liquid baling wire) on the rocker arm, it'll hold for a few runs.

I know I gave Matt a hard time (he knows I am messing with him), but apparently this piston was from the original batch of Gen IVs and has held together for a while, while others bit the dust. I am going to swap an entire fresh set that have seen no boost in there and hold onto this shortblock as a backup.

That thing is still running good. Sorry about the breakage. Are you still running the tru boost that matt had? If you are what are your duty cycles set at. My Fairmont has one I've just been fighting mine to get it working the way it should. I've just been running on the gate.

I am still running it. Gate is about 14 psi and 40% duty cycle generates between 17-18 psi. I broke this piston the first weekend I owned the car, on wastegate. A true testament to the strength of the driveline...it made 16 passes like this, and knocked down repeated runs in the low 10's between 135-140.

Maybe I missed something, but are you going with the Wisecos? If so, on those same floating pin rods?

I decided against the Wiseco pistons. I will be upgrading though, significantly.

Maybe I'll have my wife join it for me, I don't have a personal page on FaceBook.
