The last time I hit it with 15* I melted a plug and bent a valve 900 feet out and coasted to a 9.3 after a 5.9 in the 1/8. The car will run 8's as it sits on 18 psi. Once the intake and springs are swapped, I think it will make more power without the need for much more timing. I prefer to sneak up on this. I am in no rush.

Like I said its obviously working well. I do like the wider window you have with less timing and after hurting an engine from timing... I don't blame you for the approach lol.

Weird. I ran 16 degrees 50/50 91 and 112 on 9psi on the front half and 17psi on the back half, spun to 7000 and its alive. Lots of different ways to make power.

Because until Mike can put fresh plugs in it and read them after a pull the timing will stay at 13-14*.
It's making dumb power for 18psi the way it sits right now, really no need to cram timing down its throat.
I'd rather turn up the boost and leave the timing low. Timing is what wrecks engines. I like managing the cylinder pressure the engine is making by running low timing and running a lot of boost.

drinking my coolaid lol
what i always do when a car makes power that easily, or seemingly easily, i pull 1-2 deg out, and see if it makes the same power while i am on the dyno, then i know if i was a little over center to begin with.
just a suggestion, i also like to read the strap

Nice job on the car Mike, anytime you ready to add that anti roll bar. Let me know. And I'm sure with that new found power a cage upgrade will be needed soon lol. I will be home from Brazil Saturday. I'll hit u up.
