I'm guessing it's cheaper if you pull them from the vehicle instead of the salvage yard doing it. I'd love to have a few $80 motors sitting around. Could have 10 of these if I didn't buy rods for my motor

Quick question since it came to mind. Are you still running stock valve springs?
If so have you experienced any valve float cause of it? I've always heard after 7ish psi they will float.
Thanks

Is there any reason to not go with MS3 and do the fuel and ign with it? I am looking into changing out the 454 in my chevelle for a jy 5.3 that I have and adding a cheap turbo setup, my car is a 4 speed car though so I was going to go with a smaller turbo so I can have quick boost recovery.

goodnight sweet prince.

ive had a strange vibration at higher speed, 55-65+ lately, and ive been trying to sort it out, redid my trans mount, bought poly trans mount, re did all the bearings in the rear re-shimmed, not that, put on a set of mustang alloys with good tires and drove it last night, heard a little noise but couldnt pin point it.

broke an axel driving about 65mph (no speedo so i have no idea)

since its drum rear it spit the axle right out the side of the car and dropped me on the diff and axle tube, instant 180 into the other lane of traffic with no brakes, since it tore the drum off... luckly strait into a huge grass hillside, where it proceeded to bend the rear bumper under the back of the car, twist the frame, blow the trunk, etc. windows all stayed intact and im fine, actually the car stayed idling and i drove it out of the feild and down the street into a large parking lot and had corey come pick it up with the flatbed.

ill get some pics of it then, oh well, everything else seems good, gunna tear the stuff out and build another.

i can see the axle stub still in the rear with a flashlight.

WHERE do you find those things that NICE!!!

Glad you are ok bud. The 2nd thing I did with my pile was c clip eliminators, I too have drum on my 8.8", and it isn't worth dying over indeed.

Having a fully welded carrier is kinda rough on the axles though on the street, might have had a hand in it?

Can't wait to see 2.0 up and running!
