You just continue to give me hope that my Crown Vic and the 5.3 in it are going to have a very long and healthy relationship.

What was the reaction to grandma's Fairmont like at that Honda meet? Must have turned a few heads if the hood got popped.

Since you can't change dwell with the 6010 controller, and if a tighter plug gap doesn't work at higher boost levels, you need to drop cylinder pressure (aka bigger cam) for those power levels.

Are we having problems with stock coils under these pressures or is it just a trait of the setups you are all using? Has anyone tried msd replacement coils to cure flame out?

In our experience the MSD coils are no better, or maybe even worst than the stock coils.

If you are not trying to fire a rich E85 mix at nearly 1000 hp, you won't see a problem with the stock coils.(.035 gap plug)

A tighter gap, less alky in the mix, or less hp than that, and there is less of a chance of "spark blow out"

I doubt he is having a problem yet.

Only way I could see dropping cyl pressure and keeping the same power would be a larger bore.

How about just closing the gap to .020" and see if that helps the spark from getting blown out ?

Yeah I had a brain fart. I was thinking peak cylinder pressure, not at the ignition event.
