the fairmont i hold the throttle a tiny bit like 1/4 when i first start it and wait till my temp gauge hits 100, wich doesnt take long. and then its fine to idle on its own.

i can fire and drive the car immediately by using both pedals.

im going to make videos soon showing both products and how i use them i get about 25 requests a month to show megasquirt how to videos. so ive been telling people its coming.

its a great system and unbelievably simple once you see how it all works.
its not for everyone, but it cant be beat for the price.

MSD6010 is 315 shipped, MS1 v2.2 un assembled with a 8ft harness is 230 dollars (157 for the ecu and 67 for a 8ft harness, +sh) and then i add a junkyard map sensor to the MSD box so it can see boost and vaccum, and i use all the stock sensors on the truck motor.
TPS,IAT,CLT. wire them in and drop base tunes on both and i can key em right over.

so for 550ish you have a stand alone car that will easily accept big power and large injectors and you can tune while you drive.

for some people leaving the stock ecu do alot of work is easier, for other people they dont mind cutting all that fat out of the picture.
thanks for the info.

So it's like a carb'ed car on start up.

Probably because
1. its not readily available for him
2. its added cost to the fuel system

yeah ive said it a bunch of times but there is 50 pages here now, e85 is not at all easy to get here. ive heard alot of things about e85 being inconsistent. i would need much larger injectors, i cant fill up anywhere near my house. i am very comfortable making great power on methanol with pumpgas.

etc etc.

those are my reasons.

there is one station within 50+miles.

the 2nd one is on the damn turnpike lol.

Sorry off topic but, Turnpike? where is it? I have it 10 min away at a sheetz, but I wouldn't mind knowing of another place that has it.

btw the 3rd pic looks sweet!

lehigh valley exit, on 476.

i would have to get on the turnpike, get like 55gallons, and turn around at quakertown, just to get e85.

hardly worth it for me lol

I thought your fuel system was large enough? But too many pages to go back and check. I understand your problem with availability!

I have personally never heard of an engine destroying itself on pump E85 from inconsistent mix?
Just don't tune on the edge
