True, but I would've thought you would have seen a lot more, especially with a locked converter. Guess hit the track and see what it will mph, but those numbers for being locked are pretty low for an 80mm IMO.

oh yeah i expected about 100 more even with the stock junk.

we will see what the mph man says.

but like i said, this trans mission, converter, etc was in my friends 2010 truck that made 605rwhp on 17psi with a 4.8l and a gt45 turbo. on the same dyno.

Maybe your ls1 intake is a contributing factor to your low numbers as well? I'm pretty sure the 07+ truck intake that was in your buddies truck flows alot better than the ls1. Maybe stepping up to an ls6 intake will do you some good.

yeah that too most likely, on that grey notch it picked up 40rwhp.

he was making 525rwhp on the truck intake and then we installed the ls6 and it made 565. that was the only change, then we turned up the boost.

ill try the heads for now, since they are free, itll only cost me 30 dollar head gaskets and time.

after that its pricey for intakes and throttle bodies.

Well I didn't think all that made that much of a difference haha, well we wi see. A ls6 and the better flowing heads will more than likely get you to 600 plus I would think. Time will tell....

I bet the heads make a good difference. More flow is more flow.

How much better was this turbo suppose to be over the gt45? Does it spool differently?

yeah the gt45 at approx 320 shipped with clamp and flange is a ******* beast.

this turbo has way better transient response than the gt45, but it was alot more money, i know the gt45 will run out around 600whp or a little more, and this should keep huffing so thats why i threw it on here, hopefully the heads do alot for me, i wanna see if they are holding me back

Those numbers seem super low for 18psi on my 80mm.

I'm wondering if there is a boost leak, or if its just a low reading dyno.

You should be well over 700hp with 18psi

You are down a little over 100hp

Call me lets figure this out.
