i bought a 79 ranchero and after looking at it good today there is terrible rust, frame, body, ugh.. haha just gunna scrap it, looking at something tomorrow, not sure what i will get myself into, i think ill do something plain or i might even buy the sunbird from my friend and finish it.

The sunbird looks 200 better than a ranchero lol. You should do a 240 or something, those things go for dirt cheap.

Chevette has steering rack mounted on firewall. You cant move engine back far enough to fit a LSx engine and still run a front mount radiator.

I have the Volvo covered. I have an ls9 cammed lq4 running megasquirt, th400, ford 8.8 in my 83 242. I even have a gt45 ready to go on in a few weeks. It's like a sweedish Fairmont. I have gotten lots of inspiration from this thread and appreciate Denmah posting his results, goog or bad!
