Default Big turbo build advice

Im in the middle of my build and having second thoughts. Currently I have a 5.3l iron block that I plan to have bored to a 5.7. I already have the block, a set of Manley valve relief pistons, and callies h-beams and a set of 317 heads. I'm shooting for 1000 on e85. Where do I want my compression to be? I think I'll be around 9:1 with what I have now. Should I try to go lower?

Wow, I figured I'd have to be a lot lower... This'll be my first experience with e-85.

e85 allows you to run more compression and or timing since its a higher octane 105 i think. So 10.1+ probably get the most benefits but i dont have experience with it

Im doing almost the same build and i went with 9.5 to 1 for my e85 build. Going much higher will narrow the tuning window with out much gain in low end power

I'm thinking the 317 heads will probably be out of the question then... What heads should I run to bump it up a bit? I have a couple sets of 5.3 heads laying around.
