Default Changes to D1SC Kit to Run an F1A/F1C?

Hey guys, for my future LQ9 408 i'm weighing my power adder options to make 750rwhp with a possibility of going higher in the future. If i go procharger, I want to go with an F-series, but it looks to be a bit tough to find a complete, used F-series kit for my budget procharger build of $4000-4500. However, there seems to be plenty of 8 rib, FMIC, D1SC kits around, and a few F-series head units.

My question is: If i manage to get one of those D1SC kits minus the D1SC head unit, do I need to buy anything else to swap in an F-series head unit.
This of course is assuming i have all supporting modifications outside of the kit to run an F-series procharger.

The 408 i'm getting will be coming with all the supporting mods i need for the kit, such as the fuel system, plugs, gauges, etc.

I just need to know what i'll need for a safe d1sc to f1a conversion.

So be sure to get a maxxed out D1SC kit and an Aster bracket. Other than what i stated in my initial post about the D1SC kits i was looking at (8 Rib, FMIC) is there anything else that would deem it a maxxed out kit?

yeah nothing should be different other than the head unit.

no thats all youd need. what i meant is dont get the plenum and all that ****. the aster should hold the f1-a i believe which is the one youll be wanting for 750rwhp or more and room to grow.

Yeah, I think the cases are very close to the same size between a P1/D1 and an F1 if memory serves me. I think the biggest issue is the inlet restriction associated with having such a tight clearance between the front of the blower and the radiator.

You're going to want to either run the above Aster bracket or the SDCE bracket when going with an F-1A. Bob
