Don't wait for me!!!

The results are already in:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...sults-vid.html

I don't have mine installed yet but while I am spending time posting my progress there are at least 4 others who have the kit installed or nearly installed already. I have exchanged messages with 3 of them and each told me that everything fit together perfectly

Not a lot of updates. Project turbo was put on hold temporarily due to project barn

In the meantime I installed a boost gauge, installed a tick master, continued working out some of the tuning bugs (the dreaded lean restarts with SD), and even made a few passes down the 1320 (no turbo of course). With the LS6 cam, 317 truck heads, and stock exhaust the car ran 13.3 at 107mph. Not bad considering it only ran a 13.8 at 104mph stock.

I am waiting on the builder to finish pouring the concrete approach for the barn so that I can move the Camaro into it and start making progress again. Until then I plan to just enjoy driving it...

I finally got back on the project and made some good progress on Saturday. I started by removing the front bumper, A/C, alternator, stock exhaust, sway bar, etc in order to make room for the crossover. Next I worked on getting the passenger side truck manifold to fit by massaging the k-member. Once I was happy with that I worked on bending the power steering lines so the driver side manifold would fit. I moved them as far as I dare but I am not happy with the clearance so I ordered up the Modular Turbo power steering line relocation kit. I will get pictures of it once it’s installed.

Once both manifolds were fitting the rest was easy. The crossover fit perfectly so I installed and clocked the turbo. The next step was installing the Burkhart front bumper support and intercooler. After that I test fit the cold side pipes and once again everything fit great.

On Sunday I didn’t have much time but I sandblasted / painted the manifolds and installed my IAT sensor in the pipe feeding the throttle body. I placed the IAT under the fuse box to keep the high engine bay temps from heat soaking the sensor and causing issues on hot starts (lesson learned from my 2 Bar N/A tuning).

On to the pictures:

What did you do about the intercooler piping hitting the bumper support?

I lowered the i/c about 1/4 inch. On the top bracket I used a larger nut (M12) as a spacer between the bracket and intercooler. For the bottom bracket I oblonged the holes where it mounts to the bumper support (i.e. moved the entire lower bracket down). Quick and easy fix

No, the kit was not intended to work with the bumper support and this is why I had to slightly modify the i/c location for them to work together. I am guessing that most people will not run the bumper support with this kit but I wanted one for my own piece of mind.
