So, in the end, did you reinstall the front sway bar? If so, could we see some pics of that?

In the end??? I'm a long ways from done...

I do plan to mount the front sway bar but it is not my highest priority at the moment. I still need a new clutch, gears, boost controller, meth kit, 6 pt, etc, etc

Right now I'm just trying to enjoy the car now that's it driveable but I will update this thread after I install the sway bar.

I already have an LS7 in the car and it has been a good clutch but I don't think it will hold up to the increased torque. Plus I have a leaking slave so I need to pull the trans soon anyways

i had a spec 3+ (i know everyone dogs them but i LOVED mine) in my car before the turbo. it was a H/C/I car. made good power and lots of torque and the spec never missed a beat.

jon had a mccleod in his vette and that was a nice clutch also!!

Any updates? Numbers or track times? Would love to come check the car out sometime before the end of the driving year!

Would the Turbo that low be a bad idea if you live in Los Angeles California? Downtown tends to get flooded when the sewers are backed up.

No updates yet although I'm planning a trip to the track either Oct7 or Oct14...not planning to break any records; I'm still at 6psi

I think you would have bigger problems than a low turbo driving through that much water! FWIW the entire turbo is higher than the bottom of the radiator

Did u have to notch your k-member to get the pass side manifold to fit ? I skimmed your whole thread n I didn't see anything. I went to put my pass side manifold on tonite and the one stud hits the k member. Just wonder if you had this issue.

That issue seems to be hit or miss. You can remove the stud and usually squeak a bolt in there through the flange and up into the manifold if you don't want to notch!

I removed the studs in my manifolds. I notched the K-member prior to doing so though and it still wouldn't clear easily. Have plenty of room now, ha.

Instead of removing the studs I just cut the one down. I ended up putting a small notch in the k-member to make it easier to install.
