datson 510 would be siiiick!!!! but I can tell ya from doin research and wanting to do it myself that an ls does not fit, of course anythings possible! But the entire firewall has to be moved back like at least 6 inches and the radiator support has to be moved forward a few inches too basically stretching the length of the entire engine bay.

I say a scion xb. Really would you expect to get laid out by a toaster?I know that would ***** me off like no other. Or get a a4 Audi. You can leave the badges lower it with 17s with a 315 Dr in the back. That would be unsuspecting

Oops my vote is for a Malibu-style wagon.

The old famous Brady Wagon (named for the show), vid from 5 years ago:

I'm surprised no one has mentioned a chevy Astrovan. Its rwd and can be modified really easily. Some of the later ones came AWD. Now that would be sick! Really, who would suspect this?

I like the 510 and the woody wagon ideas. A '55-'57 Nomad would be sweet, too, but not quite the sleeper you might be looking for.

While we are on the AMC 's..... Do a woody Pacer. Not much is uglier than these cars.

I think a big key to a good sleeper is the car has to not stand out. Ya that woody wagon is cool, but it'll get attention, I think the car that blends in every day that nobody will ever think about or even notice, to me that is a much better sleeper.

haven't thought that hard about it quite honestly. I'm waiting until the old disappears before I fully vest my attention into the new.

I've always loved true sleepers. Perfect pairing for a turbo setup to keep steathiness...Not 100% sure thats how I want to go though

Bottom line is it will be streetable that is pretty wicked fast. it will NOT get more than a 10-pt, so 8.50 is the fastest I will consider

I vote caprice classic wagon!
There is a lot of interchangeable parts between the g-body's and other cars and you can get something that resembles a corner carver with suspension work.

There is a similar car over at pro - touring dot com called the pumpkinator. It's all caged up. Looks like it will perform!

Someone had mentioned the 97-03 Grand Prix. I've done this RWD conversion (hence my login name) and it isn't easy. Sadly, the car was taken out by a freak storm before it was complete but i'm currently working on another. The second time around is a little easier but the car is by no means a sleeper as many know the 3400lb FWD 4dr grocery getter can easily run 12's with a little work.
