anyone do a front fed rad?
With almost everything gone to fit the fmic and pusherfan setup would it be ok to remove front airdam? Havnt seen anything about it yet but would be able to make it look soo much cleaner under there

Wow. I find it crazy your still soo frequent here... i refrenced ur build thread that was from years ago.... and thanks for the alt bracket.

I removed my front air dam and had no problem for a long time. It just depends on your cooling system and engine I guess, you could try removing it and check your engine temps and the load on your cooling fans and see.

I bought a third gen Firebird with the airdam missing. It would overheat on a long, hard pull. I got an airdam off a Camaro from a buddy of mine and never had any more problems. My front bumper wasn't cut though

i dont have nothing up front no dams or amything and mine stays 180 to 200 all day long. like it says above try to remove it and see. my radiator it vertical and dual 1.5" cores with a electric water pump and i never had good luck with pusher fans ether i had to go back stock

Talking about the chin spoiler device that directs the air up.... the other peices are long gone already... i may try it...... id like to never scrape that damn thing again... otherwise ill leave it on

With the radiator in the stock location, it wouldn't make sense not to have it as it is the only way to direct air into the radiator (from the bottom).
Is yours in the stock location?
That's not to say that your car absolutely needs it. For people who overheat without it how do they not overheat at a stop then, where there is no air circulation (other than electric fans) and the piece does nothing anyway?
But as a fact, between two identical drives with the same conditions, my car cools better on the move with that piece than without it. I've tried both ways. My radiator is in the stock location.
In fact, I've added brackets/braces that help the tired plastic maintain its angle under strong airflow so it doesn't bend.
