Wastegate or Wastegates?.....

Wastegate or Wastegates?..... So on my lq4 s480 build im using the twin scroll set up and deciding where to go on waste gates. Really think the two wastegates is the best way to go but most people say the big 60mm is just fine. What do you all think? What are the pros and cons of running one big or two say 44mm gates. Two gates isnt that much more than just one and since i'm using the twin scroll figured it has to be best but i'm new with all this. And was thinking Tial or Precision.

If its a twin scroll...assuming your running a divided crossover. Then I would just go with twin Tial 38 mm gates. The reason here is, the v-bands and the 40 series are a bit over kill IMHO. You have to run dual gates if your divided. I had twin 44mm Tials on my old GT4294 . I think you will be fine...could always go with Precision 39mm wastegate's. I have one right now and I love it. Come's with extra springs as well.
EDIT: And in my honest opinion, dealing with flow and such, i think its probably very important to make sure each runner for the wategate is equal in length and in bends.
But im no expert and have no data to back this up, but it just makes sense in my head...

Ya i saw that build its a good idea just figured it would be better to have two gates. i like the precision 39's the price is better than the tials. i've read both are equal in quality. But i agree both should be equal and i'll make sure of that.

I guess i'm going to go with one gate............what you guys think Precision 66mm or the Tial V60mm. I really like tial i feel its the best you can buy and made in USA but what are your thoughts?

There is also a thread running around this site about equal length runners. It is a great thing in the area of fluiddynamics, but it is not 100% necessary especially since you have a V8. Just make sure that each cylinder bank is separated into each side of the turbine housing and you are good to go!
