AES said the motor will be on the engine dyno on Monday or tuesday and they will send a video over. I think james is itching to get some big boy power on the dyno. I put another deposit down on the 9 inch and suspension. I'll be putting my entire tax check towards it as well as my next check so I'll have the lightweight fab 9 in it soon. All that will be left is a cage and some Aluma star wheels with Hoosier and we're going to go click off a number.

Magnum?

Edit: called AES. It's too cold to put the motor on the run stand. Maybe Wednesday or Thursday now.

Wednesday and Thursday have passed. hoping for a call soon. Got my sfc in. Figured it'd be a good idea to give the frame some stability

Edit: Had a snow storm. Lines jammed. Mike called yesterday 5 times. Emailed me the vid. is shipping it monday.

I am super impressed by the way they handled this. Their main focus was happy customers and I am one. things happen. Can't argue with free labor shipping and great turn around. It's been a breath of fresh air working with mike on this. We are about to make some power boys and girls

It's not free is the problem. You already paid for it.

Actually we do open the door to run the engine and it was -10 degrees with a -40 degree wind chill. I would like to see how Long you would stand outside for.

Once again thanks for your 2 cents on the thread. Joe Has had this engine for a while and it was shipped without an oil pan. The reluctor could have gotten bent from it being moved around or shipping. Whatever the case may be it was taken care of by us and we covered everything whether we were at fault or not.

Joe Engine Sounds Great. Thanks for being patient as the weather over here hasn't been nice to us and backed us up a couple days.

Good job guys, glad to see you this was taken care of... And as I work in and out of chicago on a regular basis, they have been HAMMERED up there for the last month straight...

Also, to the guy with the "run around" comment", they have posted countless videos of engines running, guess what... They are outside the main door on the back side of the building...

You don't have hoses to route under the door? The dealer that I work at does. We route the evac hoses under the door and to the outside air. From a neutral outsider it just seemed like a good excuse.

Its a win win situation for you to take care of it, lol. You look like the hero by fixing the engine that you originally built. You made a customer happy at no expense to him and now get the good pr from it. You guys would have been crazy to not fix it. It would have hurt your business. Cheers for making a smart business decision.

I happen to be that guy with the run around comment. . . See my above post, lol. It is a good excuse. Its warranty work and its not paying so yes, it gets back burnered, the paying work gets done first, this check was already cashed.

Here is another good response, you guys don't have a dyno cell? You build world class engines and don't have a engine dyno? Invest some money back into the company and get a dyno so you can run the engines when its cold outside and not have to back up work for a few days. It makes sense, not trying to be a dick, just offering good advice.

Again guys, let's back off on the bashing in here. I8UR4RD is happy, AES is working with him, and things are back on track. Let's step back and leave the personal comments out of this.

Stuff happens, and how you personally feel about how they handled it is irrelevant.

I understand you have to put the mod hat on, I respect that. I also understand that sponsors cry to the mods when someone talks bad about them. Its in the sponsor section. Just don't want another KYturbo, lol. Ok, rant over. . .

If a shop builds a shitty motor ppl should know not hide it cause they pay a monthly premium to be a sponsor, glad to see they took care of the fix but I would expect them to pay for the labor also if it got fucked up during shipping that's on them period

First of all, no one contacted me with regards to this thread. I know the OP, he and I chat offline almost daily. If he's ok with how things are progressing, then why are you here stirring the pot?

That's all. The OP doesn't want this thread to turn into a mess, he wants it to stay a build thread and documentation of his build, so please leave it as such.

AES have an engine dyno for more full on tuning & an engine stand for run-in. As you can see above.

The motor will be back in the capable hands of Race Proven Performance tomorrow. They have a few motors coming in all at once but mine beat the others there so they are going to get right on it. Depending on how it all goes this bastard might be on the rollers next week. I am having an 8 point with swingouts installed as well while its up there near the TIG pro. Shortuning is finally going to be able to work some magic.
