opinions needed....is this enough clearance for my fans??
Hey guys, i have a couple options for mounting my dual fans (only have 1 pusher so far) and need some advice. These are the common 12" Derale fans producing 2200cfm each.
option 1 is mounting as 2 pushers but the question is do you think i will have any issues with them being between the IC and radiator that closely together? Yes, my radiator is mounted up and way forward (will be shortly anyway) of the core support.
option 2 is mounting 1 towards the passenger side as the pusher and the other as a puller on the drivers side but is it too close to the turbo? i'm planning on having a blanket and hopefully should be just enough room between the blanket and the blades but wondering if the heat will still burn out the fan? I've read pullers are preferred over pushers which is why i'm considering this.
I'd prefer them as 2 pushers to have them on the same side as it looks better but want to be sure i have plenty of cooling. The radiator is a step up from the common Griffin used as mine has the 1 1/4" tubes.
Thanks for any input on helping me decide on this!
This pic is to show the IC isn't 100% directly blocking the fans but hoping to keep the temps down and maybe get some added air flow pulled through the IC as a benefit. the grill will be opened up quite a bit as well so it 'should' get a ton of airflow.

if you did the puller/pusher setup, i would build a shroud on the puller side.
i dont think youll have an issue with the pusher setup though. same fans im running on the stock radiator with no issue

i have complete faith in the fans as pushers and is the way i'd like to go with them. my concern was if they are too close to the IC but it sounds like it should be fine. i'm gonna go ahead and run dual pushers and see how it does.
thanks for all the input guys!
