LQ9 - C6/Truck manifold WS6 Turbo build (With A/C)
This weekend we are finally putting it all together after 2 months of collecting parts for the build. Here are the details (Pics should be up Monday or Tuesday.
My old setup was a H/C/I setup on Nitrous and after one of the pistons went I decided to try something new, similar to the vette but on a single turbo platform. (Builder helped nudge me back into another turbo build)
I had a few supporting mods and built parts for the Nitrous setup that I was able to reuse so in the end here is what we have:
LQ9 Block (Cleaned up)
317 heads cleaned up port/polish
LQ9 Crank
LQ9 Piston's (I know... not the dished LQ4)
PA racing Turbo K-Member

Body work underway once i get the car back. I want to mold the GFX into the car and flare the rear fenders.
I'll keep this post updated as much as I can.
Current Problem List of things that have come up during the Build:
Problem Resolution
Different Fuel Injectors to help with tune Trade out the Siemen 80#'s for Injector Dynamics 850cc
Fuel Pump Fitment issues Modified it to work
Coldside Piping ran out Purchased another Cold Side Kit from E-bay
K - Member does not work with Hotside Purchased BMR K-Member from Kyle
Hotside Leaks Welded and Re-Wrapped
Oil Pressure Problems Oil Pump missing pressure spring
Hotside Melted Motor Mount Wrapping new Motor mount moving hotside over a few inches
Startup Issues with Fuel Injectors Try and compensate in the tune
Stall Convertor Exploded Ordered new one......
Bad Fuel Injector Swapped out from Tuner
Rear Tire fitment Issue Hd to go a size down
Hood Fitment Sent to the Body Shop

Added a Double Roller Timing chain to the setup for a little assurance.
Also going over and trying to decide wether to let them do a Wire Tuck on the car while its all apart. Opinions or should I just save the money for something else?

Some Before Engine shots... yep when I purchased it from a member on here I had to get it all redone. Shop thinks they attempted to power wash it before shipping.....
$900 additional dollars to clean it up
