One thing I just thought about Evan, if it truly was at 120 degrees timing during start up then there is a very high chance that with trying to light the spark that soon that you're causing a huge spike in cylinder pressure and there is no way it will start with that much timing and even if it did it would sound like this because of detonation for sure.

Send me the log files I can look at them on my computer tomorrow and tell you what I think.

Man, I can't even imagine why it would be set that high, let alone why. Unless something was altered after he had the tune on his car, it should have been the same.

We will shoot them over tomorrow.. Between the PMs and this thread I'm not sure what I have and haven't replied to! LOL

It could be the balancer, could be the cam sensor, could be the installation of the cam etc. etc. etc. could be that he accidentally added a zero in to the cranking timing table when copy and pasting etc.

Dammit. I hope its not a lifter. What about those rockers he was using? What brand were they and how old?

This slipped my mind... Good thinking Caleb.

Rockers/pushrods are ruled out, they all checked out fine and we switched back to stock rockers, still knocking.

Springs are next.. Have to order another set and a spring compressor. This is my bet..

Played with the tune and got it to idle a bit better also.

Well I'm glad the tune is working for you guys.

If you don't mind Evan send me the tune file so I can give it a once over.

Interested in a few things.

Thank god dude. Something simple! Also justin, what plugs are you going to be using? I would suggest the NGK BRFE7's. They are a tad colder than tr6's, but better technology. Thats what Im using.

Did he ever send that your way? It definitely needs adjusting, very few things changed from the other guys 370 tune.

One step ahead.. We weren't sure to use projected or non projected for a blower. Thanks to one of Martin's posts, we went the correct direction.
