No, I have a -8 feed and my return in the stock feed line. When the car was first together it was on the stock fuel lines and rails. It made over 600 on that setup.

Figured I would update the thread a little. I tore some more things off the car in preparation for painting the engine bay and a few other things. I also went ahead a picked up the new MS3 LS drop-on harness so I sold off the stock PCM, harness, boost controller, and 2-step. Waiting for a few things to come in still but should get a nice chunk of things done this weekend. Here's a few pictures.

After I pressure washed the bay.

I wasn't going to mess with much this winter but we all know how that goes. Hopefully the MS3 proves to be a worthwhile upgrade. I am excited for the ease of tuning and functions though.

Still waiting on the new billet S480 to show up. Hopefully will be here this week or early next week.

Have a tentative date with the chassis guy for the first week of April to get the cage installed as well. Hopefully he stays on track and can get it in.

I'll update more after this weekend.

I'll try to document it the best I can. I plan on using a tablet for the gauges and being able to tune with a little bit if needed. I have a few buddies who run this setup and they like it. One has an LS RX7, another with a 2JZ Capri, and one with a 03 Cobra. I have a lot of help getting everything lined out.

That would be great. As it sits I don't have a harness or Ecu so if I'm gonna buy them I'd much rather go ms3.

About a week and a half ago I took the car to my fab guy for the cage install. Hoping to have it back shortly.

Ordered a programmable fuel level gauge from Speedhut when they were running a special on them. Took a couple of weeks to get it but it seems to be a quality piece.

Also, after waiting for three months, I finally got my turbo. It's a billet S480 96mm 1.32.

Once I get the car back I plan on hitting it hard. The goal is to get the car running and driving sometime in May which should be easily attainable.

For anyone still following, I brought the car home this weekend from getting the cage done.

Me being a relative newbie to going fast, and the rules regarding certain safety features, did not notice an issue with the cage until I got it home. As you can tell, there are no "D" bars, or the bars that go from the main hoop to the trans tunnel. I got to looking at the cage and realized they weren't there. I looked up the rules of an 8.50 cage and if it's a unibody car then they are required. Great! This particular guy has done three other Fbody cages and they are all like mine. He is going to make it right for all of us and fix it though.

In the meantime I am going to start getting things back together in the engine bay and wiring up the MS3. Not sure how much progress will be made the next couple of weeks as I have a lot going on. Things will quiet down for me the first week of May though.

What about the bar that goes horizontal through the dash. I don't know if you need that for 8.50s but while you are in there and the dash is apart.

I could, but opted not to have them. I am working on a budget and have a few other things to purchase this year. The swing outs would have been an extra $400 total that I didn't want to spend right now.

I would go sell some plasma and sperm.... Doesn't seem like a big deal to add them later. This will still be a street car right?

Haha, I'm good on that front. I have a removable steering wheel and in good enough shape I don't mind crawling over the bar. Yes, I could still have them added later if need be. My main priority right now with the cage is to start painting it and get the "D" bars installed if need be.

This is still a street car and will get driven just as much as it did before on the street. I would routinely drive it to work on nice days which is a 60 mile round trip. On the weekends it will see many miles cruising around as well.

Applied racing swingouts are only 80 bucks per side
If you decide you want them in the future theyre very easy to install. I lm happy with mine, they seem a lot beefier than the kind with the tube cut in half.

The cage work looks top notch, cant wait to see it back together

Right on. I was quoted $200 per side installed by the guy who did the cage work. I will get some installed later on if it drives me nuts though. I don't think I'll mind it though.
