Your coils didn't clear? Weird. What mounts did you use?

Here's that link btw
http://www.hptuners.com/help/
Then you go to getting started<demos<applying 2 bar sd tune

I do have another one that helps but it does things a little differently and isn't as good as hp tuners method.

There is 2 different truck coils available. The ones I had laying around were mitsubishi "box" style coil packs, plug wire attachs to top of coil, coils sit strait and HIGH. The one's I got from a junk yard yesterday were Delphi coils, round body, plug wire attach's to the bottom of the coil and are angled. I find a pic and post it.

Don't use these boat anchors.

Use these bad boys.

**UPDATE**

She will come alive tonight. I would have starter her up last night but it was 1am, kids asleep in bed, blah blah..

Swapped out the 3 wire oil pressure unit for a "tall" single wire unit. Works perfect. Removed 3 wires for the MAF I didn't need and made a IAT sensor plug out of a coolant sensor pigtail. Works perfect.

Gonna wrap the pass side log as the plug wires boots are VERY close to the log, easy fix like 3 minutes.

MORE TO COME!

Btw, thanks for the link. I have a little more tweaking to do, but mainly once driven.

Alright! Well the past fews days a got a lot more completed. Finally got to start her up for a little after doing a lot of tuning. HPTuners is freekin awesome. Confused as hell at first but the more I read and messed with it, figured it out.

Anyways on to the GOOD STUFF! BTW, hopefully I'll get to drive it tomarrow. Can't wait to try it out!

I think the intercooler setup came out very nice! VERY tight fit but I wound up fitting all that 3" crap. Had to make some crazy bends to get it to fit.

1st Startup Idle Video! All factory gauges work so far, yes I know its lit up like a Christmas tree, Check engine light was I set MAF to 0 instead of 2, ABS light is on cuz front harness is unplugged along with high beam and battery. Air bag is front sensors disconnected until core support goes back on.

Thanks man! Lol yeah I was pretty happy to hear it fire up. Good feeling knowing I built this crap and it works. I should have it driveable tonight, well see.

I did however lay the hood and bumper on, took a few steps back and starting laughing. Such a sweet little sleeper lol.

Yeah it is lol. I wonder how hard it's going to pull. Makes me want to build another car and make it a sleeper. I'm ready to see some driving vids

***UPDATE***

Wow, all I can say is this is one freekin blast of a vehicle to drive around. The "big eyes" look you get when opening the hood to let others check out exactly whats under the hood is epic lol. I will definetly have some driving videos soon.

I have a few things to repair after driving it for a little. Junkyard water pump starting leaking from weep hole and 1 fan relay took a dump.

But anyways, here's a pretty good idle video (Finally nailed my idle tune down) of how she runs now since I've started figuring out HPTuners.

Very nicely done. How hard was it to get your AF to read as steady as it does? I ask because HPTUNERS is in my future plans.

Appreciate it!

Man, I did alot of research on tuning small, medium and large size cams. What I found was larger cams do not require as much fuel in the VE table between 400-1200rpm (30-105kpa) along with a little more timing at idle (think I am set at like 10deg at 400rpm, 18deg 800, 21 at 1200. Desired idle is set at 950rpm. Alot more goes into it like advance airflow and stuff, but trust me, I went thru 2 sets of plugs, 1 jug of oil lol getting it tuned proper. Of coarse alot of that was due to having to wrong MAP sensor which really screwed things up for a few days. Speaking of that, whatever you guys do, DO NOT USE the cobalt MAP sensor. It either has to be a geniune 2 bar GM map sensor or the Cobalt BARO sensor.

***UPDATE***
Got the water pump replaced last night, replaced bad relay for 2nd fan and re-routed the coolant crossover back to heater hoses. Should get some drive time this afternoon and more videos!

Great work I've been following this thread and you almost made me go buy a blazer because you made it seem so easy. Interested in what the dyno numbers will be with the set up you chose because mine will be identical.

BTW, here is a small clip in boost rolling into the throttle in 1st gear. Datalogged shows I went 86% throttle which I believe was around 8psi. Enjoy!

Where did you mount the pcm? i'm going to build a turbo kit for my truck. Are you keeping the a/c? It's a must for me as it will be a daily driver.
Your truck looks great.

I actually used the stock Tahoe PCM bracket, cut it down a little and mounted it where the washer tank used to be. If I really wanted to I could have kept a/c which I plan on adding this spring. I wanted to make sure everything worked as I did all this swap at one time, untested lol.

Yes drivers side is half tubular (haha) and half log, kinda crazy looking but it worked. I ended up using (2) 3/8" Impact Ball Swivels and a 3/8" extension as a steering shaft all welded up nice. Then made a carrier type bearing using a poly steering rack bushing I had laying around for 7 years lol. Plenty of clearance. Modifying steering shaft is a must in my opinion but was very easy.
