If you were going to do a hard line install, why'd you buy the kit? You could have just bought a block and made your own.

All the parts separately would have been 190 bucks withou the lines, the kit was 200. I didn't decide to do hardlines until I stared looking at how to mount it.

Here is a link to my build. I have a pic of how I did my Kurt urban kit. I need to update my thread since the car is done just waiting on tuning.

Nice build! But I'm not a fan of how the lines look on a fast or ls1/6 type intake. I'll be sure to post the pictures of the finished product once I put the hardlines on.

Thanks and I am not big on how it looks. But the lines are so short this was it. Looking forward to a hard lined system. Good luck.

My friend freeman on here had done hardline for everything and it looks pretty darn slick! He has a thread in the conversions section called project twin turbo s10. It is very clean, I think you will like how it all turns out.

Alot of nice parts going into the build. Just a heads up, I had my twin 70s on a 317 headed 5.3 with a TU2, and any time I tried for more than 19lbs of boost the turbos seemed to hit compressor surge after the drop in RPMs from a shift. If I rode it out, once back above 6800 it would clean up and make boost again to 22-23lbs, shift, and same issue. I tried re springing the wastegates into coil bind, and also coil bind on the bovs to rule those out. On the larger motor I have no issue.

Hopefully you dont have the same issue.

A quick line on the compressor map showed the 5.3 to be very close to the surge line

my 5.3 has 58cc TFS heads if that makes much difference.

I didn't realize that. Looks like a nice setup though

That may make all the difference. Mine was too low of compression with stock heads. I posted so in case you have an issue, you have one more idea to work with. There are a few others running a similar set up with no issues reported, but I haven't seen many push to boost up over 20lbs.

I'm looking to push 20# minimum. Was going to run it on e85 but may have a good deal on e98 drums so will go with that, just hope my 127's will be enough for e98.

Finally on leave, plenty of time to get stuff done! Got the motor and trans in, need to either make or buy a trans crossmember for the car since the 90-02 trans crossmembers are in a different location as the 93-97. I got the driver side hot side done along with the intercooler mounts, still need to weld the flange on for the wastegate dump, and do the down pipe but called it a night. The tubing/lines for the KUP showed up, so I'll be working on doing that as well.

Is that turbo placement going to be in the way of the manual or power steering whichever your doing?

converted manual rack and hardlines for the KUP setup came in today, Going to go do the passenger side hot pipe and figure out how to run the radiator hose from the t-stat to the lower inlet...not much room to work with.

Got the passenger hot side done. Wish I could have made the turbos sit symmetrically but i didnt want to run into the headache of trying to figure out a way to get the radiator hoses to get routed, so one will sit a little higher and closer to the engine. Its not a show car so function over form was the way to go. Converted manual rack is awesome, really cleans up tings while retaining all the stock steering and mounting.

cold side is finished, just need to make the wastegate dump tubes, down pipes and weld in a bung for the screw in IAT sensor. everything is a tight fit, but it fits! Then disassembly and some beautification of the engine bay.
