F-2 Procharger on a 390 LQ9?
I found a video on the Web a C6 Vette with a F-2 Procharger making 1300+ HP.
Would one these superchargers be too much for a +.030 over 6.0L Lq9 block(o-ringed), 225 Trick Flow LS2 heads, Pro-Flow XT intake,95-120 lb injectors,assume a 8.7-9.25:1 CR E-85 Fuel(105-112 octane),blower friendly cam?

Is the F-1A or F-1R a better choice?

can you give us a little more specifics on setup n goals? street or strictly track?
1300rwhp id opt for a f1r/x blower and youll need alot more injector and a stout.
fuel system as well as alot of other things.
as far as the block goes youd have to get 1/2" studs, doweled main caps and fill the block for starters.

As for HP I am still in the planning stages but 752-820 FWHP then 978+ after.

For your goals you can go with a lot less then a F2. If your looking at making more then 1100rwhp I'd look at the F1X or F2. For up to 1000rwhp a F1R will do just fine. I'm selling my bran new F1R if your interested. My old goals were around 1000-1100 with the 6spd. With my new combo I'm going larger. Not sure on the rest of your combo but I've made 830rwhp with a LQ9 370ci, 243 heads, and the older F1. You can go with a AES 390 or something similar and a F1A-F1C-F1R and easily meet your goals.

I agree with Blue00sleeper.
A F1R or even a F1C will do what you want.
If you want more the F1X is capable of every bit of 1500rwhp I don't care what Procharger says to keep the X275 masses brainwashed into thinking it only makes 1300rwhp.
BTW I am a dealer for Procharger and can get you whatever blower you need.

Yours is the second good offer I've had to miss as timimg suxs for me but thank you anyway.
I am thinking/planning and an AES 390 with 9.2:1 cr sounds like "The Engine" if LQ4/9 blocks are still plentyfull if not then a 402-403 LS2 maybe.

What is the difference between an F-1A and a F-1D?
Wow 9.5:1 is optimal I thought 9.0:1 was great for street and 10:1 was it for racing.

With a centri blower, a little more compression is usually better. My current motor is 9.5:1 and the new combo will be a little north of 10.1:1. The F1A is rated a little higer then the F1D. The F1D came out to bridge the gap between the D1SC and the F1 series blowers....its a little more capable then the D1SC but not quite as aggressive as the other F series blowers. It will get you where you want as well as the C/R. I'm not in a rush to sell the blower as well so if you need it in a couple of months, it'll still be there. I would get the motor setup with 1/2" head studs and go with a decent set of aftermarket heads. A dragon slayer crank or another decent forged crank and the aster setup for the bracket. It would be a fairly simple yet strong and reliable combo. Give us a little more info on the car, full setup and goals.

Static compression is nothing more than a measurement of volume.
Dynamic is really what matters.
I can have a motor that has 11.0:1 static compression that can run more boost and timing on a lower octane fuel than a motor with 10.0:1 static compression.
It's all in the cam timing.
Dynamic is really what matters.

Yes. He's right that the combo should all be matched together. It's easy to mismatch it but its also as easy to get the right cam spec'd for your combo. You can have a static compression of 10.1:1 but throw in the wrong cam and you screw it over on the dynamic/actual side. It's easy to find a good cam for combos now. Search around on here and call some sponsors.
