Went 146 last night but only 9.80s. My normal routine is to glance up at my 330 time to see if it's worth windin out but this track doesn't show the 330. So based off feel.....I let out of a 6.30@116 pass....ugh coasted to a 9.90@ 119. Probably would have been a 9.50@148. We were still killing the tires all the way down the track. I'm going to get an alignment before the next time out and possibly try so bias ply tires as I hear they work better for a stick shift car. My car went a 1.41 and 1.42 60' last year on 26x10.5 et streets so maybe if I can pick up some 27x10.5s it will work better.
Rear is a 3.91(j30). Still in 4th. Limiter is set to 7500 but we only saw 7200 on the pass I trapped 146(log showed 150)
I have heard that you can put the q45 gear in the r200 housing but I have also heard the opposite. Would love to try that as it would aid traction and gear.

I am swapping a 94 Q45 Diff/Axles into my s13 right now.
The 90-96 Q45 with the 30 spline axles/output shafts has a 3.54 ratio and by far the strongest axles/output shafts available, but you have to use:
- LH and RH Q45/Z32 TT rear hubs
- Complete differential
- LH axle to be used on the RH side of 240sx
- Z32TT-LH axle to be used on LH side of 240sx
OR
- Cut down the Q45 axle to length and sleeve/balance it on LH side of 240sx
For you the:
97-01 Q45 = 3.54:1 or 3.69:1 ratio... and you can still use your J-30 axles (29spline) if they are from a '92-94 J30. I am pretty sure this is all correct, but after reading so much it starts to get confusing.

I am trying to avoid changing my axles and etc. the housings are different. Some people have put the 3.54r&p in the 240/j30 housing but I am unsure of the process and etc. the q45/300zx set up is def better but I have 3 sets of 4 lug wheels and I'm not having issues with my rear diff/axles. Wish someone made a bolt in 8.8 set up like the rx7 guys get.

I also have the q45 setup, I was just worried about the j30! these axals are deff bigger! but we have used the j30 setup in some sr cars going low 1.40's for a long time!! but the ls is a new animal to me!!BTW nice ##!!!!

The only advantage I can see for me with an auto is traction. It's hard for me to understand how it will work going from a 4spd to a 2spd. Right now I have 3 gears to get me to my 1:1 gear. With the glide it will be only 1...seems like some acceleration is left on the table. What first gear set will I need and what rpm converter and etc. I am seriously uneducated on autos and the parts. I see a 1.80 and a 1.76 first gear I think. Wouldn't a 2.xx be a better choice? How much harder will leavin on a transbrake be on my driveline? Sorry if these are stupid questions but I know nothing. Also what kind of upgrades does the glide need?
As I said, I'm not giving up on the t56 yet, I feel like it can work with some changes to the alignment and tires. Maybe a better boost controller. I am going to try and round up so auto stuff though.

To get the clear advantage of auto u really need to swap gears in rear... Wasnt there a company that makes gears for us? How.much timing if u care to share? Its gonna fly man and your results has got me off my butt on my car lol
