Default LS9 heads compared to aftermarket for boost

Anyone know much about the ls9 heads,I've heard they have a thicker deck than other factory heads. Is this true? How would they work compared to trickflows or other aftermarket heads for a street strip turbo motor.?

The LSA, and LS9 heads are roto cast which produces a much stronger part than conventional casting. They also use a higher grade alumnium than the L92 heads. If you've ever looked at an L92 casting and then a LSA/LS9 casting you can tell the difference in quality. LSA/LS9 practically have no porosity in the casting. The LS9 heads however use 12mm bolts which no other LS engine uses, the LSA uses the conventional 11mm head bolts. LS9 heads do have a slightly thicker deck compared to other stock heads. I'm using LSAs on my build.

Call http://www.superchevyperformance.com Tell them you want bare LSA heads. They don't have them listed on the website, but if you call they can ship them to you directly from GM.
