Ls6 vs fast intake
I have a fast intake and 90mm tb on my car now. If I switched to a ls6 intake and stock tb would I lose any power? What about down the road when I up the boost and build a motor and start shooting for 750 to 800 hp? Car has a d1 Procharger on it now with stock bottom end. I know there are plenty of cars with a ls6 intake making big power but my question is is there a power difference between the two intakes on the same Procharged setup?

it should make more power on lower boost with the fast. but i dont think it will be alot more. it could be worth is to sell the fast and get a ls6 and put the extra cash into the bottom end. if you have the extra cash to spend id just keep it tho

The FAST 92 in a good intake and is a step up in power from the LS6 intake, how much extra power always depends on the engine combination. The original FAST 90 is well known for leaking boost, if you have the 90 I would sell it and go with the LS6. Bob

A stock LS2 intake is a poor performer. Back at the old shop on skydiver's CTS-V we lost 2 psi of boost but picked up 60 rwhp just by swapping out an LS2 intake for a FAST 92. Bob

Dang I didn't know that. Good thing I asked. Thanks for the input guys. Do you think my fast 90 will be fine sealing air on just 10.5#? I can go to a ls6 once I up the boost. I'm getting the car retuned Saturday so I'm under a little time crunch is all. Really appreciate y'all's advice.

I can't think of any easy ways. At your boost level it should hold with the RTV. Bob

I am at 14 psi with the FAST 90. I have both the LS6 and this 90. I didn't even consider the LS6 for my build. I know the FAST was worth almost 3 mph in the 1/4 naturally aspirated so it will be worth even more under boost. No way I'm throwing that away. If you needed to RTV will seal and glue the FAST together and you would never get it apart nor would it leak.
