Got another small update:
Got the dash in that I got from a forum member! I was originally going to use a vfn or glasstek but decided i liked the way a factory dash looked. Still got to make tabs for the lower part of the dash yet to bring it up in the correct position.
Also got my mock up block in with cylinder heads and intake. We decided the passenger manifold V-band wasn't at the angle we wanted so Nate cut it off and rewelded it. Now we can fit our 4in exhaust through it! Just got to order the turbo now!

Nope, been grinding down the old cage where i cut it. and working on getting the windshield out. But really i'm waiting on parts. New short block should be here within the next week. I'm going to start putting the old 408 from my car into the wifes car really soon though.

Sounds like you got your work cut out for you! I just ordered my hot side tubing and I'm hoping its here for the weekend. Probably order the turbo towards the end of next week. This weekend I hope to finish up the dash mounting and probably loosely put fenders and front bumper on to get ready for turbo placement and mounting.

just seeing the pic of the dash mocked up in your car gets me excited, i wish i was that far along. I'm not sure when i'll order the turbo yet, but i was looking at manderal bends dot com and thinking about ordering one of their master builder kits for the hot side. still undecided though . Your car looks good, keep kicking ***.......and keeping me motivated

Looks like your working on a second GMHTP article there. Looks sick man.
I know your trying to stay budget, but seem like selling the 241's and grabbing a set of 317's and having them milled would really improve on the flow and power it makes based on the countless 5.3 builds I have come across. Hate to leave power on the table. Just a suggestion. I am sure you have considered it or been tossing the idea around.
Those welds are going to make it look like an actual vehicle vs the shell it once was.
I'd expect no less from you Rob. Ready to see some ET's already.

Haha.........here it is! Notice what showed up????
It's a lot more massive than I thought but I only wanted to buy one so I can expand and upgrade later! Kinda the reason behind the T6 flange for the 5.3!
