Made a lot of progress today! Big thanks to Nate! We had originally planned for the turbo to be on the passenger side but upon further discussion we decided driver side was best. We wanted the exhaust to come straight off go through the k-member then exit underneath. Nate wanted to notch the frame but I remembered the rules of "Real street" which state the frame can be modified 10in forward of the OEM k member mounting points. So 10 inches and a few 1/8's forward of the k member mounts we did just that!

Looks stock! We made our upper support which we made removable. And started to position the turbo in its spot! The intercooler will be on the passenger side still. I like it cause its somewhat disperses the weight to passenger and driver side.

Should have turbo mounted and hot side started some point this week!

Default need some advice on my f1c build ideas to see if they will work

So as of right now I am in the process of making changes and just need some advice on if some things will work I'm taking my forged 347cu that has prc stage 2.5 heads ms3 cam ported ls6 intake upgraded fuel system 46lb injectors set up for a healthy shot of nos...turbo 350 trans w/brake new moser 12 bolt 373s 325-50-15 rear tire and my idea is this...

Take the ms3 out put the brute speed EPP blower cam in add 68lb injectors and add the f1c procharger switch the gears to something higher...now my question is will the heads work for this setup and what kind of power numbers would come with this set up?

Default Update 2/5

Well made some great progress tonight.....Nate and I had a meeting of the minds on how to mount the turbo. Mashed all our ideas and we have our final product which turned out awesome I think!

We then got started working on the hot side! Got the passenger side tacked in place and will finish driver side later this week hopefully. Driver side should be fun!

Got word my 5.3 block, checked out good and so did the crank from my Trans am engine, so I will begin the engine process as well shortly! Also got my manual brake master cylinder and TH400 cross member from Eric @ Midwest Chassis on order and hope to see them in a few days! Will update in a few days!

Rob and I knocked out the driverside late last night I'll sure say it wasn't fun but it's pretty much done. Now we gotta get the waste gate figured out mounted and then it's time to weld it all together!

Thanks guys! Coming along faster than I ever thought it would! Hoping to follow the whole LSx shootout series then do some racing local tracks and then a series in Dayton Ohio. Hoping to run a close to 8.5's as possible but we shall see what it does and well we gotta finish it first!!!

Wow, that turbo is low. Looks like it could hit the ground after a hard wheelie and not want to drain oil so good? Were you planning on using a pump?
