I took advice from turbo Joe. He said to buy 90* bends and buy all your bends from the same place so they are consistent. I bought one 180* bend incase i need an angle. He doesn't recommend 180's that's where i winged it lol.

Figure out exactly where you want the turbos and make sure you'll have clearance for everything. Put the turbos where you want them and tack your flange where it needs to be. I hard mount my turbos to the frame with braces which makes it even simpler. Once your flanges are where they need to be, pull the turbos out and run piping to the flanges from the manifolds.

Hang the turbos with anything you can, wire and a board works or fab up a small bracket to clamp to the frame. Whatever you can do to get them in position and then route the pipes.

Make sure to plan out everything. Air filters, o2 locations, etc.

Ok gotcha. I think ill keep the o2s in stock position since my down pipes will be where my header collectors were.

Just use a small steel rod like you would use to hold the collector if you were building a set of headers. Once you figure out where the flanges need to be, you can hold them up with anything. It just needs to give you a point to build to.

Im really interested in this. Subscribed! If I may ask, any idea what your budget on just the turbo system will end up being? Not including motor, etc.

as of right now i have about ~$3550, i still need to buy an intercooler and piping, oil feed/drain, wastegate piping, and a boost controller. Im also going to ceramic coat everything. ill probably have about $5100 in it when im done.

Made a small bit of progress today...

Got the flanges cut off the manifolds so i can have V-Bands welded on this week.... Any tips on getting this welded? im having a fabrication shop do it. Ive read to heat em with a torch, weld them, then reheat them. Also have heard that you can just weld them. I guess they are a cast-steel material and not cast iron?

Got my hole cut for the radiator cap, and finally got my radiator to fit. ill do some final trimming when the engine is out so i can get in the engine bay and work. I need to figure out a way to make some brackets for the bottom of the radiator.

You can retain abs/traction control, cruise control, and air conditioning. here is how I'm doing mine.

Twin a2w intercoolers. relocated both fuse boxes under the dash. relocated traction control and abs on drivers front frame rail. relocated cruise control under drivers frame rail. relocated tcs motor to passenger side head. relocated battery to the drivers side watch area. a2w intercooler reservoir will be on passenger side rear. running twin T-76 T4 turbos on a 6.8 liter stroker. should be around 1100hp and full spool by 2200rpm

Unfortunately I don't yet. I have been taking pics along the way but its going very slow. wife, two kids, just out of school and holiday time. Money is very tight. when nearing completion I will start the thread. Everything is custom work done by me.

Small update. I got my manifolds v-banded and put on today. couple of questions

Where does my down pipe go in these pictures? Between the block and motor mount or on top of the motor mount? (I do have a super turbo style k-member going in later)

If Anyone has any pictures to help me with this that would be awesome! Ready to start the hotside as soon as i can get my hands on a welder...

I dont build turbo kits but I woul advise putting your turbo k member before doing any type of fab on the hotside!
