I agree. You need to know what you have to work with before you begin fabrication.

pretty sure im getting this to move those damn power steering lines... Im thinking the ABS needs to go too.

The lines that run to the drivers side radiator, are those necessary to keep? Cuz id like to get rid of those as well..

Default Decent update

well, i got quite a bit of work done tonight. finally got my buddy over to let me use his fabrication skills. Go the passenger side tubing fabbed up from the manifold to the turbo, and started a down pipe. Everything went pretty damn smooth and had a lot of fun building it. We managed to keep the tubing above the sway bar which is good for me since it is a street car. im happy with the way it is turning out. Soon as i get my headers sold, i will order my intercooler and cold side so ill have it to get started soon. We will finish the drivers side up on monday or tuesday. We are just tack welding everything in place right now. Im sending it off with him to where he works and have all the seams TIG welded. We will finish the DPs when the new motor is here and i can get my k-member on. I just need to get them sitting in place and get the cold side done so i can pull the motor and start cleaning, painting and doing everything else.. enjoy

progress.....I like it. Be sure and degrease and clean the engine bay before It goes back in.

SJM has you covered on the ABS delete. Should save you 12-15 lbs as well. Also cleans up the engine bay alot.

Keep Goin.

ya i am, degreased, cleaned, then painted. Ive been lookin at the SJM ABS delete, i have their line lock. Still on the fence on deleting it. I have the drivers side mocked up to where i can keep it if i need to. I need to figure out what to do with my fuse boxes. i really really dont wanna cut the wires and re-route those damn things. i found a thread on here where a guy relocated them without cutting anything, wish i could find it again.

I think you will still have to extend a few wires, like for the headlights. I think they pulled it inside. I extended mine, huge pain in the ***.

I extended all of the fuse box wires and put it behind the drivers side headlight.

Its not hard. Its just tedious. I numbered each wire and staggered how i cut them and measured the wire that way. At first i was soldering and that took way too long. So then i juat used butt connectors and heat shrink.
