LOL. Can't wait to see if it picks up with the new turbo. Do you have any expectations for it like an 8.60 or so?

i plan on running the same boost with the new turbo to start. id expect the car to go faster, not from the turbo alone though. on my 8.8 pass i didnt have second gear. and last time out with the trans fixed my boost controller died. anything faster than 8.81 id be good with.

Did you buy your turbo brand new? And regardless.whether it was née or not any idea of how many runs? I'm running the same turbo and was just wondering why it needs the rebuild?

i got it from a guy that bought it new but never used it. it has about 1k street miles on it. maybe 30 passes on it and a good amount of street runs on it. ive heard these turbos have weak thrust bearings. a buddy with same turbo said his had about 100 miles on it and it needed a rebuild.

Are you talking about the Garrett turbo?

Any chance of a shot of the turbine side? How did they compare on the turbine housings? That thing is huge!

no, didnt think about it. bw is already on the car or i would get some pics. there was a big difference in turbine wheels though.

its different than most other turbine housings. its tall and narrow.
