I honestly don't know, but I doubt it's the $500 ebay turbo's every one uses as an arguement of turbo vs. supercharger.

I only have $3200 in my D1SC setup which is good for ~800+ at the wheels. Granted, I didn't buy my head unit new, but it was newly freshened at Procharger and I saved ~$500, so lets say I have $3700 in it if I had gotten a new D1SC from Bob. Sure, single blower vs. dual turbos, but putting together a D1SC setup anymore is pretty reasonable.
O i get what your saying. D1 go for 35004200 all day long on here. I was just comparing new to new and as long as you fab the kit yourself. And twins are obviously more expensive than a single setup. But you can get a brand new pre-fabbed single kit with high end components for under 4k that will make 750whp. So used procharger is about the same cost as a quality new single kit. All comes down to.if you wanna hack the car up or lose some amenities like AC. i love both. Hopefully the C7 will drive C6 costs down and i can have a twin turbo T/A and an F series charged C6 vette and have the best of both worlds lol.

No wonder the blower guys think alot of the turbo guys are retarded, because i do too

There are so many half assed unreliable turbo builds on this forum it is no wonder people think they are unreliable

Build a system with good components, and care given to things like crankcase breathing, drains/feed, plumbing layout, adequate bypass capacity, ect. and it will run day in and day out problem free
Welcome to the forums Dont expect to know everything from the forums bud. Not everyone has same opinions or preferences, soo all that makes everything more confusing.

What are the pros and cons... well i would say pros for a turbo with good parts, not cheap knockoff copycat parts, is good reliability with excellant power and ability to control power. Supercharger is bolt on and go. Procharger is a reputable company, i wouldnt say the same for most knockoff turbo accessories.

Dur this piston looks like that piston surely they are the same
I didn't say the wastegates are exactly the same obviously one is Chinese and the other is made in America. i stated that a wastegate is simply an actuator and they all work the same. My gates are damn good quality for 1/5 the price of yours. Idk about you but to me its a no brainer which one to buy
