Yeah Martin we will see how it holds up to more boost. Going back to my tuner Monday for a little idle issues then I plan to start playing with a little more boost. Was thinking leave the meth off till like 9 psi and let it drown for the remaining climb. If the tune continues to hold 11.0 af do you think adding twin 10 lb nozzles worth of pure meth will kill the power for being to rich? Or will it just be overkill safe lol.?

I would personally shoot for 12.5 AFR up to 3-4psi, try and level it out to 12.0-11.8 at 6-7psi and then after 7psi let it tank to 10.8-11.0 to keep it safe.

Try and keep it no richer than 10.7-10.8. Target 11.0 for optimal results and safety.

To be honest I really don't get high hopes on numbers. All my pulls are on a mustang dyno anyway so never will know exactly any bragging numbers unless I hit up a dyno day or something at a local shop. I would expect mid high 500rwhp numbers on 12psi on the mustang dyno and if I get that with a cam only untouched longblock I will be happy. Especially if it stays together for a while. But not like I even drive the car that much. Not even 500 miles on the turbo setup yet.

Wideband going in as we speak. After I get the o2 harness run through here I'm filling the meth tank and should be good to start testing a little.

Are you running straight meth or a meth/water mix like 'Boost Juice'?

So lets just talk about how big of a difference 8psi is to 12psi on a highway pull. WOW!!!! I got my methanol coming in at 7-8psi and although it pulls af down to 10.3 it feels nasty. Like going from n/a to turbo again. Like to get it to the dyno and see how much it really picked up cause it feels like a lot. I know that's way rich but I can still go 2 more psi without maxing my MAP sensor out. So that saves me from having to go back and be retuned cause the methanol is keeping it super safe mode..

Nice man more boost seems to make more power than timing with these set ups (from what ive had) 14psi will be safe just clean up the afrs a little and you will be happy. I'm sure it will put down 625whp .

Havent read this in awhile, glad its all going well for you!

As for your wastegate spring question, yeah could just put them both in and get around 14 that way. But i see that you got MBC and that will work too. Ive obviously gotten mine up to 16psi with the same MBC and the 9.5lb spring. Im glad you noticed the difference in spool too! A lot of people say that even if you have the controller turned all the way down it will still help spool time cus it keeps the gate from cracking open sooner.

And as for your power guesses, i made 694 at 12lbs with 5*more timing than you and a smaller turbo... Youll be over 600 on mustang dyno lol

Ive been running around on 13-14psi lately so dont be afraid to crank it up a lil more once you get that AFR dial in

The afr being so rich gives me confidence it is safe lol. And when we tuned it really seemed to love the timing lol but I believe I will leave it low to be safe. The boost comes in way earlier now and since I only have a 2 bar MAP I guess ill have to stop around 14. My wastegate is set to make 8 psi controller turned all the way down. But I love it. Feels good again. We all know how it is. Get use to the power fast then always wanting more. I think afr's will lean back towards 11.0 when I add 2 more psi making it 14psi. Cause its 10.3 now on 12psi with pure meth and twin 10 pound nozzles.

Awesome! Where are you seeing full boost now Stephen? As I told you via Facebook and PM, use the boost level to control your AFR. If I were you, I'd leave it at 10.3 for street use and everyday driving.

When you want more or you're racing someone, turn it up to 14psi and use boost to lean it out and add power.

Do you have it set to come on full blast at 8psi?

Maybe you already mentioned this in the previous 18 pages, but are you running stock head bolts or head studs?

I'm pretty sure I am at 12 pounds before 4000 rpm and yes meth on full blast at 8 psi. No progressive controller. All or nothing lol.
