Tc78 ar?
I am looking at the TC78 turbo from turbonetics to use on my 06 GTO with a stock bottom end and a 6speed. I only see one exhaust AR of T4 with 0.96, I don't see any other size ever shown for them and I feel this may be small for my setup. I do not plan on building a bigger motor, but if and when this motor gets hurt I will just build another 6.0 with good rods and pistons. Also only looking for 7-8psi on this motor.
My questions are
-Is there other AR's for this turbo
-will the 0.96 be fine with this setup
Tell me what you guys think!

I can get you the TC78 in .81 or .96 open, or the 1.15 divided. No problem, I usually keep a .96 and 1.15 in stock as well, no price difference either!
The new 7675 or 7875 T-series from them might better suit your goals. Features a 75mm turbine wheel as opposed to the 68mm wheel in the TC turbos. Let me know and I would be glad to answer any questions you may have or get you set-up!
If you want to stay with the TC78, I would recommend the 1.15 a/r

backpressure will be at least 2:1 at 7-8lbs so somewhere probably around 20lbs Im sure BUT it will be manageable because you wont be boosting to the moon with it. BTW for a 6speed 1.15 will work but .96 will be better. I would get a 1.15 if I had plans of going auto later...

Because I don't want to spend that kind of money on a turbo and I'm looking for a turbo that will fit under my hood with out cutting the car up. If it will not work I will start looking at other turbos in $700 range.

As stated, it will work, but it won't be the most ideal. Backpressure probably will be a little on the high side. I would definitely go with the 1.15 a/r if you do choose this turbo however to help as much as possible! Hard to beat the TC series for the price and quality of a turbo you receive for it. They work terrific on the 5.3's, the 5.7's and 6.0's are on the edge for the 68mm turbine.

List price on a 7875 is a little over $1200, they are standard in Ball Bearing however!
