Ok, Im ready to buy the microsquirt and harness today to run my Gen 4 58x 5.3 but what needs to be done differently to run the 58x Denmah? How about anyone running say one set of injectors (93octane) then switching over to E85/alky on another set of injectors for dual fuel setup?

for 58x i have not done it but you should just be able to switch the tooth count and then add in the cam sensor and it will know how to fire.

i have not done fuel table switching or secondary injectors with any of these setups, i cant answer those questions sorry

Well that was just something that I was curious about. Can you find out what needs to be changed since you said somebody was running on the 58x with it or should I just call EFI source? I'm ready to get this thing running I'm only missing PCM and wiring harness which I'm doing myself. Later Clint

When did the 5.3s go to the 58x? I have a line on a low mileage 2006 5.3 but not sure if I wanna mess with it if it is a 58x. I have a 2002 5.3 now I was gonna use but the #2 cylinder is ruined. Need to find another long lock stat. Thanks

Thanks Matt, Ill PM him to see what I can find out. That MS3 Pro looks to be an awesome unit with a ton of features, boost control, traction control, extra injector drivers etc....
I don't know which year they swapped over to 58x but I know now that the L33 5.3 was built until 2007 and it was 24x. When I bought this LH6 5.3, I thought it was a L33 with 24x until I took it apart and it had a 58x wheel, then I noticed it had DOD and single bolt cam, it's a Gen4, which is supposed to be a stronger block. Im going to push it too it's limits so Ill find out.

yeah i have used MS1 to take over fuel on a TPI engine in my dads chevy van, and i also used it on a Small block chevy with turbos.

i always thought it would be fun to take a riding mower and put it on with a K car TBI throttle body or something

Good to know Tony, what did you have to do different for the micro squirt to run your LS4? I have a LH6 that I would like to put it on just hadn't seen anybody use it on the 58x wheel yet.

Near as I can tell (I havnt done a 24x) but its only changing the trigger offset, ignition input capture/cranking trigger, ect. Just mainly the settings in TunerStudio, the wiring is the same.

Here is a couple pics of my setup & car-

Anymore info on this? I am going to be pulling the trigger in the next week or 2 for the setup and I figured if they are going to pre-mod the board then I'd rather do that route. I have soldering experience but never soldered on a printed circuit board.

you dont have t use the cam sensor, in fact if you are using it on a 24x motor, the code will ignore it, it uses the crank tigger only.
