Unplug it and block the inlet passage in the throttle body. Then use the idle speed screw to adjust for idle. Be sure to calibrate the gps when done so micro knows where zero percent is.

I built a manual iac and it is working good but next im going to run a vac hose in the car to a small ball valve and mount it so I can open it for fast idle and once it warms up I can close it for my hot idle speed . i'll post how it works.

assuming to check for the resistors I need to open up the micro... and the brown wire on each coil should we simply cut it coming off of the coil, put a eyelet terminal on each one, and then ground each coil to the head?

Just run all the browns in a series all going to one wire and ground that one wire to the head..

awesome this is what we are seeing

also the 3.24k ohm resistors on the coils work with all coils we have tested so far, the 4.7s were causing problems with some coils.

Does this have a launch controller/ 2 step built in or is that something you have to buy separate like the the msd 8733 and wire it in?

What if you have the coils relocated off of the heads and are using a torque limiter that would probably cause a ground because it is going from engine to chassis?

Hate to bring up an "older" thread. But. How are the fuse panels being tied into the harness, and what are the fuses for. And why are the. Microsquirt boxes wired differently from Efi source than how denmah reccomends wiring the box. I just noticed how much different the complete LS efisource harness looks compared to the ones I have seen on here. Please guys help this microsquirt newb out since I am wanting to pick one up.

Just wire your fuses as in this diagram and you will be fine as it protects all the necessary current drawing parts.

it has a launch limiter, and ANTI LAG so you can build boost
not just a stutter box

unsure what you are asking but it should work fine, may need grounds tied to where your coils are also, i know the Mockstang boys have off head coils on their 8.70 car running micro

well, they wire it so everything is fused separately for ease of use and probably because that is the correct way

i just combine alot of it to make it easy as i think that many fuses and relays is too many...

i use a 5amp, and tie that to the crank signal power and micro ecu main power i actually clip it like 5 inches off the main and tie them together there actually

i do it slightly different now and maybe i should update and show a video

i use the fuel pump relay now to kick the fuel injector and spark power feed.

the rest i throw a 20-30amp on, and combine it for all injector and coil power

in my experience it sucks when the coil or injector fuse blows and you still see one or the other, i would rather have it not inject or spark at all if there is a issue.

other people like to be able to pull fuses for checking problems and want to see just spark or just fuel, etc

depends on what you are doing but i just use that 2 fuse setup

same thing for STOCK pcm rewires

I've pretty much followed this tread to the t and I'm running into issues. first when I tried loading firmware it wouldn't wake up the prosessor.. once after many trys I was able to get that it stopped half way through loading firmware.. finally after many other trys it loaded.. and I could pull up tunerstudio and try the bench tune.. seemed to load it fine.. and went live.. tps worked and then goes offline out the blue.. I switch it off and start it back it goes live and then offline.. so seems I'm stuck..

Ohh and my micro box gets hot around the area where the t in microsquirt is.. seems as if the hotter it gets the faster it goes offline on restart.
