after all of that was happy, we pulled the tranny and my friend is going to build it tomorrow.

Sweet! Im doing the same thing. you know... A sloppy mechanics "how to install a transgo hd2 shift kit in a 4l80e" thread would look awful nice next to the microsquirt thread. Just throwing that out there. lol

well my friend will be building it so i can grab my camera and take some pics, but i think there will be a ton of steps lol

It is a few steps to putting that in .I've done a few trannys over the years but I let my friend build mine for me . It takes somebody that does them all the time because there's only 1000 moving parts in those 60's and 80's. Looking good Matt cant wait to see that thing in action!

Funny seeing it go from a silent innocent work truck to sounding like a race truck with that cam haha.

haha i know i cant wait to take it places and start it after people have showed up and dont know what it is, banged up crank window work truck LOL

yeah, he used to work on transmissions everyday so he is still very good at it.
ide rather he deals with it.

Matt,
Now that you have jumped to HPtuners, maybe you can do a few step by step videos on what parameters to set and look for...like you did with MS. I know it's a complicated progress with a bit of black magic, but you have a knack for making the hard ****....look dooable. Just a thought.

Transgo has a step by step vid for installing the HD2 on their site.

Yes. I seen their video. Click on it. Says "This video was made in 1992-95 and does not match the current instructions. Transgo does not update their videos" Thanks transgo. lol
