Default JAX04's-Stang Bang 2.0- 00gt-5.3-PG-S475

As i said in the other thread, i sold my Rx7 to buddy who is well under way already of dropping in his motor and 4l80. Once he starts sending some pics ill throw them up in another thread.

Anywho onto it.

1-20-2013 pulled it in garage

Pretty simple- wasnt happy with old mustang, bought another rx7, finished some **** on it, sold it too a buddy, and got a stupid good deal on this, so had to pick up.

Enter 2000gt that supposedly had a blown motor, It does NOT, so i yanked out the engine and trans last night, ill swap the kmember and have it in sometime in the next few day, rebuild my turbo kit to be street more friendly and blamo, ill be done.

Simple fun street rod. nothing more, unless i get a wild hair to 8.50 cage it. Ill send it somewhere to have that done if i decide to do it again, got a quote on it today, pretty good price.

2000 GT
5.3 (forged)
S475
Power Glide Trans
TSI converter (going PTC)
3.27 rear end
Holley Dominator
Edlebrock ProFlo xT
Tokico shocks all around with steeda springs

Ive got a set of Qa1 dbl adjustable coil overs i was going to use on the last mustang, i may try to use them again. i think they are only 14" though. Ill have measure them to verify. Would those be a bad idea? Ive got a coilover mounting kit, axle brackets and tabs for a shock bar.

Thanks to Trent who came over to lend a hand with the heavy lifting, im back on schedule.

Aje Kmember is in, Cobra brakes and steeda suspension are back in. Engine is in and intake setting in for mock up. I was gonna try like hell to use the ford radiator and huge *** fan, but it looks like that may not end up working, its just too big and too tight to the motor. Think GTO space between engine and radiator. If i had a smaller more compact turbo id do it, Ill figure something else out.

Anywho, ordered a new mandrel bends builder kit, 02 bungs, and new turbo flange today. so the turbo kit should be under way very soon, as that is truly the only piece to this puzzle now. Trans will bolt right back in, and driveshaft is proper length as well. While im waiting on the bends, ill bolt all of that back in and even install this fancy driveshaft loop i have and the torque box re enforcement plates that are here, **** i never installed on the first stang thats been lying around since then anywho, not many pics.

The original plan, back when we had a racing series here to run in, weight penalty for intercooler, no weight penalty for added injectors or limit to amount of injectors you could run, as long as they were part of the fueling of the car, E85.

Now, ive got it, might as well use it. lol
