LOL. Trust me, that is very clean compared to what i look at. THere is still a sticker on the back of the head. Still needs a cleaning though.

Picked up the heads today. 35k miles 09 799 castings, headed to the machine shop for a surfacing and clean up.

I would get rid of the ls7 clutch and get something else...dont cheap out there or your transmission will hate you for it!

It is on the list of stuff. Getting the motor buttoned up first.

Nice build! May have missed it but why the 5.3L? Was the 5.7 blown up?

Cheap and should make good power. The 5.7 has 151k miles on it, rather spend money on the power adder and trans than a motor. I see the turbo guys making 650 whp up to 800 pretty easily and figure why not do something different. Especially in a Vette.

Calipers and brackets will be here Tuesday, 799 heads back from New Kid Cylinder Heads Wednesday, lifters and trays, head studs, head gaskets, cam package all here. Time to get crackin on it.

After seeing the results from the soon to be boosted in the future 5.3 in our customers C5, I think good power can be made with them. Especially with boost. His having the truck heads still, being a dished piston motor and having a smaller less aggressive cam than yours and still making 350rwhp cam-only was impressive to me.

That innovator's west pulley, can it bolt up to other pullies for use on an F-body?

I really like this build (mainly because I am doing almost the same damn thing...just in an '84 Cutlass)...what I don't like is waiting for pics and updates!!!
