Default Boost creep - looking for opinions

Twin turbo 2005 gto, stock ls2 with flipped truck manifolds and (2) T-04B (58mm) turbos behind the headlights with 2 tial 38mm wastegates set to 8 psi. Took it to get tuned and it gradually creeps up to 12-13 psi at 6-6.5k rpms.

Tuner shut the tuning session down and recommended a different wastegate position to optimize flow. Attached are some pictures but I wanted to hear from the ls1tech turbo gurus to see what you think. Also open to ideas on where/how to place the wastegates for optimum flow.

You need to move the inlets of the gates to the out side of the curve not on the side. You can also help the gates work better if you do a teardrop the inlets

What size exhaust housing? Too big and the exhaust won't build enough pressure to push the gate open.

What size hole is in the elbow where the flange is welded on? Pull the gate off and look inside the flange. Post a pic of it.

Exactly! But on a factory ls2 shortblock that wouldn't work so great. And at the end of the day more boost/bigger wastegate is a bandaid for the real problem.

Your saying 12 psi is too much? Come on, turn it up.

10.9:1 compression + crappy 91 fuel + no meth/e85 is a good reason for me lol. and the few dyno runs I did get in resulted in the upper 500's (I believe the rod bolts start to stretch 600+ in the ls2's) to the wheels before the tuner shut the session down. I know I'm delaying inevitable, I am seeing an aes390 in the future, but I would like to drive the car on low boost/stock motor while I save up for something nice.

If I blow up my ls2 before that I'll just follow the ls1tech crowd and get a junkyard motor with arp studs and 317 heads and call it a day lol!
