Found some sweet pics online somebody took at the track, had to share. Car has actually been for sale locally but haven't had any real offers. I already have plans for going a little faster next year.
Question for you guys. I'm going to do some rear suspension mods to give it some more antisquat in the rear and already have some used double adjustable qa1's for the rear. For the front though, is it worth the effort to get a drag type 90/10 strut in the car? In the vids you can see I get no front end rise, and what feels like very little weight transfer. I have measured a fox body strut and if I machine the mounting "flag" off the strut I can slide it in my strut tube, making it reasonably priced investment. Think it's worth the effort? I have been playing with my 2 step and I can get all the boost I want foot braking it, I want to be able to use it next year!

3.08 gear, i got 4mpg more just with the converter swap. It really does drive around like a stock car now, I never even felt it shift in drive with my old generic summit racing 3000 stall. It used to hit the limiter at 130 mph, now it goes 150, so yeah I would call it efficient. Funny thing is the guy at PTC, I think his name was Lane, never even asked me what stall I wanted. Just asked power, turbo, motor, weight, gear, and what I wanted to do with the car, and they nailed it perfectly.

Not sold, I still have it. Nobody offered any real money for it so I have just been improving it, mostly suspension stuff. It hooked really good at the track but was still worthless on the street and it really bothered me so I started reading up. I came up with a plan of attack, make adjustable lower control arm brackets on the rear end to adjust the instant center, double adjustable coilovers in the rear, and adapt on some mustang strange struts in the front. I'm almost done, can't wait to see if it all works. Still debating on putting a cage in it but I probably will as I would love to break into the 9's this year. I have some gen 4 rods for it but I would really like to squeak in with the gen 3 stuff, still debating, don't want to destroy what I have.
Basically slowly turning it into a mustang

Man if you were closer I'd be all over that thing. If your current suspension setup doesn't give you the traction you want, the aftermarket ecu's and traction control is the way to go these days. Just need a wheel speed sensor. Ecu pulls timing if it senses the tires are spinning.
Local big power LSX turbo runs in the true street radial class (275 tire, not a drag radial). 9.5 at 159mph. goes 8.3 @ 171 on slicks.

Thanks man, I see you're form the central valley as well. Hopefully be drivable again by the end of the month.

Some updates,
Gave up on my strut adapter and ended up just running the whole sn95 mustang spindle. Made a ball joint adapter using some chrystler ball joints. Even used a mustang master cylinder that damn near bolted on. Got it all back together and spent some time testing this weekend. Although it is noticeably better it is still pretty worthless from a dig. I plotted the suspension again and it seems comparable to what most mustang guys end up with. This led me to gopro the front and rear suspension from a launch. The rear is rising like it should with the anti squat but the front is pretty stagnant with almost no lift, leading me to believe that there is no real weight transfer happening. The only thing I can see preventing this now it my pretty healthy rake I have going on. I don't really like the rake but I was out of rear shock travel, so now I'm redoing the mount to gain some travel back and get the rear lower. I have so much more respect for guys that get their car to work on a crappy surface, especially on smaller tires, because it's not easy hahaha.
I'm running 100lb rear springs and 130 fronts. Double adjustable qa1's in the rear and strange adjustable struts in the front. If you guys have any advice I would love to hear it.

nice fab work. you are on the right track the rear adjustable will be helpful but if the front doesn't lift it will be hard to get to hook . if you can get it level and get a good 90/10 strut on it with about 5" of drop before bottoming out I think you will be happy then you can make some front lift limiters to fine tune it. nice work
