Nice run Rob. I tried to do something with the video, brighten it... anything, but the source is too dark.

I can cut out the actual part with the race in it if you want just that though...

Rob, what setup is on the car for that video?

Is that the stock LS1 cam/heads with the new bottom end?

That video =

Rob I honestly don’t see how anyone here could criticize or hate on your kit. Time and time again you have shown what you and your kit can do, on the dyno, track and street. I pretty sure there not very many (if any) videos of f-bodies whopping up on supercharged vipers. I thought for a long time that the only way to beat a car like that was to go out and get a big singled Supra, but you shown how a well equipped f-body is still something to be reckoned with from a roll.

I think you are doing a great job and have endured a ridiculous amount of crap over you being a more involved sponsor. Stay in the game because there are only going to be more and more people looking to you and your shop, to help build them one hell-of-a car.

Everybody says Kobe wil be/is the next Jordan, maybe you are the next Lingenfelter.

Later,
Dave

Very good point.

I'm very impressed with Rob's car. The viper is what I'm questioning.

Of course it goes without saying, this was on a "closed course". The video turned out pretty dark (not my video), but basically what you can see is me spanking his ***! We raced on his terms, from a 35mph roll, and he blew the horn. We went until I shifted to 5th (about 150mph) and then I hit the brakes. By that time, I was out at least 4-5 car lengths on him. The guy was an arrogant *** and prior to the race, said I "wasn't worthy of lining up next to him in an old piece of **** firebird." Needless to say, he was a bit embarassed when we got back to the hotel and his buddies watched the video. They claimed I must have lied about my HP numbers (I even showed them the dyno sheets from the night before), or that I was running NOS. I just told him to take it like a man.

The blowoff valve sound you here on the shifts is the new HKS Sequential BOV. At the track the next morning, his car went a 10.30 @ 145. John Hennessey raced him in his Twin Turbo SRT-10 the night before I did, and beat him by about 1-2 car lengths. They said that video will be posted there soon also.

*They incorrectly list the race as "Turbo Trans Am vs SC Viper" And also incorrectly state the HP as being 775, instead of 728.
Nice numbers Rob, you might match mine someday . Joking.

Im surprised how Rob pulled that viper like that. Are u sure he didnt have belt slippage issues or something like that? My friend viper pulls Hybusa's with ease especially from 3rd gear and up. Vipers are not that peaky. They make crazy power with either a SC or a Twin Turbo. The red graph is my friend SC'd Viper and the blue graph is for a Twin Turbo Viper and both are running 12psi.

This is all pretty incredible stuff. We dont get too many cars of that caliber over here.
Awesome performance Rob.

I have a question, what sort of transmission and clutch do you use with that kind of power/torque ???

I only ask, as I intend aiming for such numbers in the future, and Im trying to gather up the right parts.
Its all a long way away though.
