Default cam and lifters

looking for someone to spec me a cam and lifters for a 4.8 going into an 91 s10..probably around 3200lbs t56 4.10 gears 76mm to 80mm turbo....daily driver..i already have t&d shaft mounted rockers..1.7 intake 1.8 exhaust..heads are 862 mildly ported 245 cfm at 550 lift..the rockers are setup for a 550 lift so i don't have to start milling the head where the rocker stand goes...i really need it to be reliable because i will be driving it to work round trip 160 miles a day..approx 4 days a week..i don't mind spending the $ just want a worry free cam, lifters, and valve springs............thanks Bob

I would hit up "patG" on here or "Brian tooley" or "Martin @ tick performance" in no particular order.

All are good at specing cams for turbo combos!!

Speedinc also has a nice line of turbo grind cams...

You can search their names and PM them to get the ball going

A buddy of mine has a speed inc. tu1 cam in his 4.8. Makes like 700 to the tire on a stock motor except for cam, springs, head gaskets, and head studs. He's using a bw s475

Go to your local gm dealer and buy a cam and spring, and timing set for a 09 ZR1 and get a timing cover with the front cam sensor. that set up is Ideal for the street and the parts will run you less than $450. It works so well I even run it in my race car

Still not sold on the zr1 cam. Does it work? Yes, but I don't think it's what's best for a turbo set up.

Martin at tick was great to deal with when he spec'd my cam. I highly recommend him because of his customer service. Now I can't comment on how well the cam performs just yet, the car is getting tuned this week.
