What would cause failure
Those valves could well have been torched w/ hi egt/not on the seats/little to no heat transfer.
Note they are all 4 burned at about the same place. Where the flame kernal starts @ the plug tip. The "cutting torch" egt at probably 2K *, [or close to it], had a relatively easy time of melting those edges off the valve, and the plugs.
I would also ask what the valve material is.
Did the racer read the plugs when the car was first raced/leaned on??
just making sure they arent smart fires ect...
some more photos would be great when you get the chance. first off, sorry it happened to you man. Second, I cant believe you only made that many passes? I would have 3-4 on the way home from the dyno.
That kind of timing would warrant some VP M1 100% or E85 IMO.
Werent you running a 2 step? Seems like I recall the car hitting the limiter on the 9.95 run.

Injectors were supposed to be brand new and I think fic 100lbs.
These are all the pictures I have ATM since engine has been shipped back to builder
Who is telling me its either a fuel or tune issue this all happened back in December been horrible experience to say the least.
As for the shop they said they'll work with me on the labor as in taking engine back out and reinstalling it but have not been told any kind of numbers yet.
They were a sponsor on here but are not anymore.

And assured me the car barely needed the meth when they dyno'd the car, that pass I touched the limiter because was the first pass with new shifter it was the only time it happened.
I am really interested in hearing what happened. The positive side, if there's one, is at least they were a factory head, and it looks like the damage is just in the head, so the expense shouldn't be too bad. Like everyone else said, I'd look towards fueling first.
Brandon, you will probably have to do the same thing I am going to do and take the car out of state to get a good tune. Call up Vengeance Racing or RPM Frost, or James Short Justune, anyone but the new guys that are not going to be around very long. Two things you cant skimp on. Fuel/Tune.
