Default S480 Build, 370CI + T56 + Keeping All Factory Accessories/Locations

Well the car fired up this week so I figured I can post a build thread now

Customer's Car:
Low Mileage SOM 2001 Camaro SS
As Delivered Unfired 370 forged CI motor, stock crank, custom cam, 317's. Street friendly suspension, S60 rear, etc etc

The original plan revolved around a stock motor and a TC76 or TC78, but when the 370 CI went in plans had to change a bit, but the end goal remained the same, keep all the factory amenities and preferably in the factory location. Trying to stay as budget conscious as possible but ensure reliable street manners and good power.

Major Components:
- BMR Turbo K
- 2.5" mild steel hotside
- 3" aluminum coldside with 31x12x4 intercooler
- dual intank 255 and 80#'s
- S480, 87mm exhaust wheel on a T4 housing
- 4" DP into a 4" cutout into an SLP Dual/Dual
- Turbosmart 50mm gate
- RPS 50mm BOV
- Truck Manifold on DS and Vette manifold on PS

Hotside Pics:

Cold Side Pics:

Cooling System (particularly happy with this setup):

Gauges:

Final Assembly Pics:

Startup Vid:

Hope to get it on the dyno in the next week or so. Cant wait to see what it does.

its an 11"x21"x1"

downpipe goes under the sway bar, over the rack, and through the K on the drivers side. damn tight fit

not sure yet, theres a 7# spring in the wastegate and i have a 10# on my desk. kinda gonna see how the dyno time goes and go from there. the suspension/tires on the car arent conducive to being able to put down a ton of power but id like to see a some nice dyno numbers

thanks. i/we did all the fab/fitting/tacking but credit for the tig welding goes to a friend Nick at Praxis Fabrication in Orlando. Same guy that did mine and a couple other weld jobs for me. Highly recommended.

Wow good job getting the 4inch dp through there. I a similar setup up with the same kmember. I ran the dp dumped to the ground with a boostv activated cutout at the end. Then i connected 3inch to it through the kmember to the rest of the exhaust

real nice work............ i have a question for you do thinking this setup would work with a T6 turbo ? I mean the location and routing of everything being the same only difference being a T6 and not a T4.

Great work Tally!

Kit does look real sharp.

When i saw the thread title and who made it, i thought at first it was for your car.
