If you switch to the SDCE then as mentioned you have to buy a new damper and that will be expensive as well if you cant sell yours or get alot of money out of it.
I almost bought a cog bracket the other day, but i sent it back. TO really make that work your going to need a PERFECT belt alignment by Jesus Christ himself, and run the new ATI Super Pulley and that things 500 dollars plus shipping, and the belts are 30 for cheapos but usually 100 and they snap off all that time for a lot of people. I have researched this to the ends of the earth, and the aster, although an expensive piece, is the last piece youll even maxing out an f1 blower. Also a cog setup took up a **** ton of room. The guy who had it before me said he could not fit the air filter on and there is no way I was about to suck in dirt and whatever else into my new forged motor.
Order it now, so he can be making it. They are usually made to order.
All of these things led me to go for his setup. By the time you buy a factory j-bracket, then send it to SDCE to have it modified, cost wise, it's nearly a wash.
I actually liked the fact that I upgraded the water pump since the ls2 water pump flows better than the ls1 it replaces.
