Default Removing Evap ???

I'm getting rid of the Evap on my ls6 intake manifold and wasn't sure what to do with the fuel line that connects to the Evap solenoid. Did you guys cap it off, vent it with a little filter, or remove it all the way back to the tank ?

i just leave the evap vent in the engine bay, **** it, you will most likely get a code for evap, you can turn it off with your choice of stock ecu flashing programs

I don't think you want to plug it. Put a filter or something on the end, or route it down somewhere else. The gas tank still needs to vent one way or another.

Thanks man, I already had my tuner remove it from my computer. So I should be good with the SES light.

Me too, I think I'll put a small filter on it and move it some where out of sight like "Unreal" suggested below.

What about running the line to a filter that's close to your air filter. That way, any fumes that gets purged from the tank will get sucked into the system and you don't get any gas smells while driving. Just a thought.

When I originally deleted my evap solenoid I ran a rubber hose into my lid, Not a good idea. When I would get gas it would put too much vapor into the intake and the car wouldn't start. So then I ran the hose to my bumper. Now that I am turbo I just have a spectra mini filter on it. No issues set up that way.

Thanks for the info. Is the end of your line in the front bumper or did you peal it to the back of the car and vent it with the little filter ?

Mine vents right in the engine bay, All I did was remove the plastic line that goes to the solenoid and put a filter on the end of the metal line. one day I will pull everything out when I drop my tank.

go to auto parts store and buy one of those ricer brand valve cover breathers, mount it to the tube weather you leave it running to engine bay or terminate in the back somewhere.

Thanks, MM

The engine and trans is out, so I'm going to pull it out all the way to the back and mount a filter to the line. I'll take care of the remaining line next time the gas tank comes down.
