It will be fun for sure. You have what trans? 400 with a brake? What weight? My car is heavy for sure. I don't think I can get 150 in the 1/4 unless I put it on kill and even then don't think it will get there unless I take 4-500 lbs out of the car. My goal with my car is 9.999999 in the 1/4 and thats it, lol. Click the ac on and drive it home in comfort, lol.

Yea 400 with a brake and about 3250 with me in it once I remove all the things I want to remove!

Really? I would think those cubes, good flowing l92s and 91mm would get there pretty easy. There is a build on here that consist of a full weight camaro with 370/stock lsa heads and pt88 with stock ls3 intake... he went 144 on 14psi. Im not sayong bigger is better but with my heads/intake combo and billet 80mm at 3200lbs I expect to go 150 with 15psi or less... I wouldn't be satisfied if it doesnt.

I woukd LOVE to build a chromoly front end like martins car and a few other cars ive seen but im not sure what something like that costs for someone to fab it up! Would drop probly 75-80lbs!

I shoot low and if it goes faster then I am tickled. I have a 4l80 with no brake. I do have a 2 step and can spray it out of the hole to get it to 60' decent, then bring the power on. I have drag radials, or I have a 28x10.5 et drag I can run. We will see what it likes. The weight is definitely where you got me. I bet I am close to 4000lbs with me in it. I am also just a 408 with ls3 heads and a 102mm with a 91/94 turbo. I think you have enough motor and turbo to meet your goals for sure. Maybe later this year we can get to the track and see what kind of numbers both can run.

The chromoly front end is something that would definitely drop a bunch of weight. Maybe its a project that we could bump some ideas around and see what could happen. Then again, add another lb or two of boost and it will trump that up until you are at max effort.

Each bank is pressurized and with each feed well before the turbo, it will not have any issues getting exhaust and controlling boost.

More parts

motor should be going in next week and possibly the hotside at the end of the week depending on when it ships.

still waiting on my TH400 crossmember that is suppose to ship the 5th

once i can get the motor and hotside in the car, myself and cam72aro are going to figure out what materials we need to build my coldside. He will be helping me out with the Cold side and intercooler brackets

Looking good man. I look forward to working with you on it and determining the best combo for what you want out of the car. I think if we bump some ideas around we can come up with something that will either run pretty good, or we will both have a headache.

Haha true story! I have made so many changes to this build but they have all resulted in them being for the better. I am very impatient person and sometimes find my self downgrading just to save money and have things done quicker but this time decided to just take my time and do it right.

Honestly for the time of use this car is going to have in this texas heat, non intercooked woukd have been a bad idea for this motor... I think A/W is going to be a great upgrade for this build. Alot of people say A/W is not ideal for the street but the amount of driving I do is minimal anyway!

Little update on the car...

Motor should be getting assembled and installed along with the converter and tranny, having a difficult time getting my mechanic aka my dad to work on my **** since we are getting the g body ready for cruising the coast in a few weeks in Mississippi.

Hot pipes will be on their way next week!

Cam72aro is going to be helping me out with my coldside but I am still debatong wether or not I want to go A/A or A/W

On the flip side the billet s480 ETR-HO has found a new home.....ill leave it at that for now

My vote is A/W, but will help you with whatever you want to do. I want to see the A/W so I can decide if I want to do it on my car, lol.

Yea one thing I thought about was if there is a point to where too low of IAT's could be bad? I plan to run 2 or 3 15GPH nozzles... that will drop IAT's drastically then A/W with ice will drop them even further. I have read guys being around 40* with ice in their intercoolets... plus meth?

The meth will mainly be for the octane booster. With my combo and new turbo im looking at I dont think I will need to go past 20psi to make 1k to the tire but I am running 10.0:1 compression.

No such thing as too low of an intake air temperature IMO. On the X275 car I help tune we're normally between 50-70 degrees.

I have decided to hold up on buying an expensive billet turbo and just run a stock cover s475 in the mean time and run the **** out of it! Should still be good for some 5.50s. Maybe by the time im ready to upgrade jose will have some new stuff out for tye s400 units!

Intercooler, injectors, turbo and meth kit are all on their way. I need a few odds and ends but I pretty much have everything to put tue car together.
