Oh yea, I forgot to mention I will not be utilizing the 2 speed TH400 anymore. I am selling it.

Anyone want a TH400? JW bell, stock case, deep aluminum pan, 34 element sprag, aftermarket clutches and steels.

Held up to 650rwhp in my car at 3000lbs. Should hold the same power in a heavier vehicle, but I wouldn't put more than 700rwhp to it if your car weighs over 3600lbs. without an aftermarket input shaft.

I'm willing to sell it for a good deal if someone will please just buy it from me.

I'm going with a 1.69 planetary power glide and still using the 4.10 rear gear.

If you took all of your interior out, carpet and plastics we could replicate this cage for $6,000 dollars.

OK funny car cage is finally completed! The cage is done as well. All that has to be done is the trans cross member and gussets for the cross member.

I've ordered my paint which is a OEM paint code for the factory color. Picking it up this afternoon and I'll be prepping the cage/interior tomorrow for clean up and paint.

I'll have to hold off on the engine bay until Matt get's everything mocked up and get's a brace built for my turbo, but then I'll be in business.

ok thanks for the info martin

I used Rustoleum self etching primer on the first coat and a high fill "filler" primer on the second coat.

I had a local paint shop match the color code from the door jam and they put the Sebring Silver Metallic in 6 rattle cans for me.

Should turn out nice.

A good friend of our shop, and a cam customer of mine owns a window tinting business.

He doesn't know it yet, but he's going to be coming up to the shop to put some 5% on the back glass and 20% on the side windows along with a 5% tint strip on the front windshield.

This car has been retired from street duty.

Thinking about buying an older 4th gen LS1 F-body with a 6 speed to play around with on the street.

SNS Stage 3, LS6 intake, 200 shot, Level 2 tranny from us, Adj. master, MWC 9" with 3.90's, Kooks headers and TD's and some TFS As cast heads should make for a nice little 9 second street ride.

Oh yea, and a 6 point roll bar with swing outs.

Sent you a fb message. Ill be there right at the start but with only 15 slots open for the dyno I wanna make sure I get in lol. Its making 18 psi on a street pull now so hope it holds that on the dyno. I wanna see 700+rwhp on pump gas and low timing conservative tune on the high mile ls1 stock bottom end!! Probably only pull it to 6k though. Don't wanna push my luck. Id like to drive it home lol and on a street pull I usually shift early to be easy on it. As if 18psi stock bottom is easy lol.... Ill see ya Saturday. Cant wait to enjoy a day with all the ls guys. Got my friend Matt Floatn (lq4 mustang) and Preaston (ECS z06) coming as well they say. Maybe ill win the drawing and I can get some goodies from you guys lol.

I thought the NHRA forbid window tint at one time. Did they get over that?

No issues.

With stock rockers, LS3 intake valve, LY6 exhaust, Morel .750" wheel lifters, 3/8" push rods, the lobes that are on this cam and 170 on the seat with 470 open I don't see why it couldn't go 8000rpm all day long under control.

I will probably end up having to run it up to 7600-7800rpm if I run it in the 1/4 with the gear set I'll want to run in it which will be a 3.73.

I'm probably going to switch to a 1.58 exhaust housing if this 1.32 chokes the engine too badly. Or try Jose's new 100mm turbine wheel out.

I've found with turbo engines, the turbo has a lot to dictate in terms of where the engine will operate in the RPM range. I've found too that even though power may be fading that doesn't mean to shift! I fully expect this engine to make peak horsepower around 6400-6600rpm with the port volume it has and carry that power to an optimal shift point of 7400rpm.

At least that's what I'm hoping for LOL! I've also been contemplating putting a Super Victor on it over the winter with a nice Wilson elbow with the divider plate in it for some added RPM capability and horsepower.
Like to discuss some of this if you like, 314-954-9156

Sounds good Stephen. The cam won't even peak until 6200ish RPM so I'd at least pull it to 6400-6500.

I don't think you should worry about much with the amount of methanol you're spraying at the AFR and timing you're running at.

I've talked to Matt already. He wants to discuss a new cam for his motor he's building and it will be good to see Preston again as well.

See you tomorrow!

I didn't even know that they ever did. I see so many heads up race cars with window tint that it can't be forbidden anymore lol.

Well guys the build just took another turn towards spending more money. Lol

I'll be ordering Holley HP efi Monday morning and I'm selling my stock engine harness, computer, wide band and my old Harlan two step to recoup some funds.

The price is just too low to pass up once I factor in selling my stock stuff, wide band and two step.

It's a no brainer at this level.

I'm on the way to the shop to paint the cage right now.
