Default Fuel system help..

Alright, some of you have been following my "Prroject Red rock twin turbo" build thread, and I will be ordering a fuel system in the upcoming weeks. Ive spent quite a bit of time searching and cant really find the solid information im looing for.

Car is 99% street car, shooting for 1000rwhp+ on 93/meth (considering E85) eh.. any way..

FIC Bosch 127# injectors

the original plan for the fuel setup is.. (from the tank in order)

Sumped stock tank /-10 feed/Prefilter/Magnafuel4303/postfilter/-8 feed to Yblock/dual -8s to rails/dual -8s to Regulator/single -6 return (cant find a -8return regulator?)

How much power will this support? How much on E85? should i set it up differently?

Drivetrain will be th400/3600stall/MWC 9" (maybe 4l80e)

I keep finding different power levels and setups for this, and dont want to order the wrong ****.. Hopefully someone can help me out here.

For a street car I would do a Squash Dual 450LPH Setup, -10AN Feed, Y-Block, -8AN to Rails, -8AN Return. Look into the MagnaFuel regulator. Also, I would do the FIC 2000cc Injectors.

Is the 450's the Walbro 267's? I dont see it offered in -10feed. I also tore out my EVAP line. and ive already bought my 127#'ers

I just now looked into it.. I was trying to stay under $1200 for the fuel system minus injectors. Is it doable? I know where i can get SS line for $5/foot.

I think your injectors are fine I would do a squash performance 450lph dual pumper kit and bump that base psi up and you will be fine

i just called lonnies, i can do his twin 255 for $600. Does the squash come with the wiring harness and hobbs switch? If it does, ill def go with the squash. I can get bradied line for like $5/foot. i think i can get this done for around $1200.

I have this exact same setup exact 120lb injectors and #8 return but I plan E85 and it should get me around 1k to the wheels.

Every vendor said i'd be dreaming to drive 8 hours to a track, thrash it for 4 days straight (powercruise) and drive home on the one electric pump with no issues.

Pending everything else stays together...

I'm running a fuel cell, -8 to Magnafuel 750, -8 to y block then to fuel rails, -6 for return. Built my system exactly like a friend of mine that is already making 1000 rwhp

we have been running the holly 1800hp pump on a few things and haven't seen a failure yet. quiet, pretty looking and we have a lot of hours on these things. is anyone killing the hollys?

the belt driven pump set up your are talking about. will the fuel pump be in the front and the tank in the back? if so i do not see you sucking fuel that far without some issues when you launch.

those injectors are good for a lot more hp than that.

in my case and i am guessing in some of these other guys that are pushing you toward e85 we have been down the meth injection route. sure it was a good way to go if you wanted to avoid race gas but were making too much power for pump gas. i felt like it was a safe way to add a couple hundred hp over what the pump gas was able to do. i have pulled a couple of top quality progressive kits off of cars to switch to e85.

then along came e85. holly ****, it is cheap, you just pump it right into your car, easy to tune, will handle a ton of power, it will give you a much greater window for making mistakes while tuning(saves your motor). TIME TO MAX OUT THAT TURBO

nearly everyone that has a high hp boosted car runs e85 if they have it available. it really is that good.

I just went belt drive because there's no electrical issues.
Yes, tank in back and pump up front. Pump lower than tank. -12an gravity fed.
I will probably use a surge tank and lift/prime pump yet, unsure at the moment.

Have read about a few drag racers with similar setups and having no issues. Trial and error I guess. I don't plan to launch this thing anyway. More of a street/circuit/highway car.

It is available to me. But only have 2 stations in town that carry it. And theyre across town. I do take trips in the car every once in awhile. It just seems like itd b a huge pain in the *** to run it. Around town it wouldn't be a big deal. Just worried if I get out on the highway and im getting low on fuel, and e85 isnt available what woukd I do? Could I run 93 until I found an e85 station? Just dont thrash on it. I wish I had a laptop and hptuners so I could load a 93 tune...I hate decisions.

I have done dragweek 5 times. 1000-1500 mile road trips in our hotrods. We never had trouble finding e85 but we did plan ahead and knew when and where to stop. It might mean filling up at 1/2 a tank just because you know there is a 200 mile stretch with no stations ahead.

Hmmmm l. Maybrle im making it out to be more of a pain than it really is. I was kind of worried of the consistency of e85 around here too. I think ill buy a tester this week and see what I come up with. What kinda fuel mileage could I expect? 3.55 gears, th400, 3600 stall, 390ci, twin turbo, 1000rwhp lol
