ls1 e85 and boost problems
Posting from australia here.
I have a turbo ls1 running on e85 and I am having problems with it stalling when in gear and initially cracking the throttle. It will do this when taking off or when coasting at any speed and applying throttle. It will also stall at idle sometimes when climate control kicks in but my biggest issue is trying to take off at intersections...lol
It is a 01 ls1 standard motor standard cam. Gt45 bush bearing turbo. 1015cc Bosch injectors and is tuned using hp tuners. It made 500rwhp through a stock 4l60e and 3.45 LSD.
I'm currently running heat range 7 ngk plugs.
Any helpful ideas would be great.
Regards josh
I need to get it sorted as in 7days I've got a big car meet and need it running properly.
Anything above Opening throttle and it runs great and pulls really hard, its got a great torque curve.
too.
I don't suspect it is in the tune, though I'm not ruling that out, I'm wondering if it may be something else. I do have access to hp tuners to change things myself if I need to.
I'm running a 1:1 rising rate high quality fuel regulator connected to manifold behind t/b so that it gets both vacuum and boost.
Static pressure is 60psi, however that drops to 50@idle due to vacuum. When throttle is cracked vacuum drops suddenly and pressure snaps back to static then comes back sown as vacuum builds again.
Could this be an issue?
